They finally re-opened the section of the park at Randalls Island that allows you to venture under the RFK Bridge for a nice view of the Hell Gate Bridge....
one of my favorite bridges in the New York City area.....
In 1570 the Battle of Gelt Bridge took place in this area. Leonard Dacre and his forces were defeated by Henry Carey, 1st Baron Hunsdon, cousin of Queen Elizabeth I.
Over 200 people were slaughtered during the battle and Hell Beck ran red with their blood.

This is by far the scariest movie I had ever seen. It has scared me all the way from the age of 5 up until 25 years later when I finally decided to face my fears and watch it alone...at night...with the lights off.
Turkmenistan: Nestled in the depths of the Karakum desert lies this gaseous crater, accidentally created by the drills of the state energy company. Legend has it that forty years ago a Soviet soldier flicked his cigarette into the hole, setting it alight. Suffolk Community College Culinary Arts Center had a cooking demonstration and tasting on March 11, 2009 with two Chefs from Season 5's TV show Hell's Kitchen with Gordon Ramsey.
Chef Robert Hesse and Chef Seth Levine did a great presentation and the food samples were awesome!

This is a picture of my hand giving the thumbs down in the grocery store. I always seem to need something from the grocery but I absolutely hate it. I felt that it was important to document where I went regardless how I felt about the place. When I was little my dad would drag us to the grocery and we would be in there for hours and hours. I also am a terrible cook and it reminds me of all of the things I am not capable of doing. I didn’t notice how often I was going to the grocery, even if it was for just one small thing. This actually made me realize I need to start making lists when I go so I don’t forget anything and have to go back so many times.

Heute gehört der Garten zur Stiftung des österreichischen Künstlers André Heller. Er hat zu den vielen Pflanzen Kunstwerke verschiedener bedeutender Künstler aus aller Welt (z.B. Keith Haring) gesellt, die aus dem Botanischen Garten nun einen Kunstgarten machen. André Heller selbst nutzt die e Villa als Wohnhaus, wenn er am Gardasee weilt.
