Just another test shot. I'm thinking I'm going to lower my gain (139 to 75) and my exposure time (600s to 120s) and get a pile more subs. See if that makes it any better.
This sculpture reminds me of the "Eye-of-God"/Helix Nebula. I know that the colors are reversed, but maybe this is meant to be the Eye-of-God After-a-Long-Night-Drinking.

ESO's Visible and Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy (VISTA) has captured this unusual view of the Helix Nebula (NGC 7293), a planetary nebula located 700 light-years away. The coloured picture was created from images taken through Y, J and K infrared filters. While bringing to light a rich background of stars and galaxies, the telescope's infrared vision also reveals strands of cold nebular gas that are mostly obscured in visible images of the Helix.

Image of the Helix Nebula (NGC7293), about 650 light years away. Taken with an Orion EON 130mm triplet with field flattener, using a QHY168C 14-bit color camera, and a 48mm diameter OptoLong Quad pass filter in front of the camera. This is a combination of 6 single exposures of 300 sec each, from backyard Sunnyvale California location, stacked using PixInSight. Scope was mounted on a Losmandy G11 mount, and using a Celestron 80mm piggyback scope with ASI178MM video camera and PHD2 for autoguiding.
A reprocess of 2017 data. Super low on the horizon so light gradients and atmosphere make this tough. I'm sure I could improve on this next winter. It even has walking noise from the time before I new about dithering.
Helix Nebula or the God's eye nebula, been taking off some time from photographing, need to shake off some rust still.
