1001 filling in for Southern's DEMU/DMU shortage on a Ashford to Hastings service. On this occasion giving the "Marsh Link" Headboard a welcome airing too! 24/08/2005.
Selected photo of model Eden (MM#2647247), shot in June 2012, near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This shoot's goal was to provide a series of boudoir-style shots for Eden's port. The shoot's main challenge was working the space and the lighting to get just the right type of look across the frame.

90039 “The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport” is detached from 1Z85, “The Pride of Planning” DB Cargo operated, Network Rail charter train at Preston on 17 July 2023. The train's headboard can be glimpsed through the gap between engine and stock.
67005 “Queen’s Messenger” was on the rear of the train to take it south from the station, then via Blackburn to the Settle – Carlisle line. With the headboard removed and tail lamp fitted to - what is now - the rear of the train, the 90 will now go forward on the WCML to Carlisle where it will be reunited with the railtour and return it south.

Several years ago, I woke up in the middle of the night with this idea of a headboard. I grabbed a pencil, and scratched out a drawing on a scrap of paper. When I woke up the next morning, I'd almost forgotten I did it. I eventually made this image on Paint, and I've finally started making it in 1:6th scale. Tonight I decided that dream me is a sadist for thinking this was a good idea. ;)
First day of the Summer timetable and a proud moment for the Cumbrian Coast line. 37419 at the rear! Looks like someone forgot to transfer the proud announcement to the uncaring public from the rear loco to the front! Not that anyone on a platform between Barrow and Carlisle would have lifted their heads from their mobile entertainment devices to observe the arrival of their new (50 year old locos!) service with more seats! They'll be further perplexed by having to open a door without pressing a button! When they get the hang of it, the train should run to time!
They'll be more aged 'bashers' than punters within a few months and I, for one, will be one of them!

Headboard made from recycled barn wood. Glued boards against each other and put on cleats. The headboard is only placed on the ground and held in place with the pallets. EURO pallets are placed under the mattress (two horizontal and two vertical).
Tête de lit en bois de grange. Planches collées les unes contre les autres puis posées sur des tasseaux. La tete de lit est seulement posée sur le sol et maintenue en place par les palettes. Palettes Euros placées sous le sommier (deux horizontales et deux verticales).
