A bit of artistic licence involved here as I have removed the headboard and Class 57 on the rear of the train. 71000 " The Duke" at Chirk earlier this month.
As the headboard is attached to 20189, a 172213 prepares to depart with 2S02 to Stratford-upon-Avon.
D345 40145 powers through Kemble leading Pathfinder’s 'The Golden Anniversary' railtour, forming 1Z40 0701 Burton-on-Trent to Weymouth on 10th June 2023.
It was exactly 50 years since Pete Watts’ first F&W railtour on 10 June 1973, which was the 'Snowdonian', 1Z54 Gloucester to Pwllheli with 24s 5079 & 5087 and 47164. It was good to see the F&W ‘Veronica Vulture‘ headboard above the right buffer, not seen that for a few years!

The 2Z38 Carnforth - Carlisle, powers along the single track section from Sellafield with 37425 now leading.
I painted a freehand black & white mural in our bedroom inspired by this awesome wallpaper. My original plan was to fill the whole wall but I ended up liking how it looks above the headboard. It's like sleeping in a garden.
Already up to a blistering speed of 20km/h, the crew are taking it nice and easy with 136-year-old veteran locomotive Y112 as it departs Laverton station and emerges out from under the Princes Freeway working light engine test run 0544 back to Newport. 11/10/25
This was Y112's first mainline outing since June 2022 following a series of 're-wheeling' works on the bottom-end of locomotive by Steamrail Victoria. During this time the Y was also fitted with headboard brackets (after being the only operational Steamrail steam locomotive without them), a move that I'm sure will be thoroughly enjoyed by the LHAS.
The headboard idea is actually my husband's, I just assembled them and he brought the squares to the upholstery shop to have them mounted onto a canvas. I sewed the pillow case though.
Blogged here.
Under spitting skies, K153 sporting a custom 'VGR' headboard heads toward Muckleford with the regular 10:30 Saturday pass.
Once at Muckleford, the train will detach leaving the rear goods wagons in the Muckleford loop, whilst the passenger consist will continue onto Castlemaine. K190 (trailing) will be used to complete the shunt work, before heading back light engine to Maldon.

41241 and 45212 thunder round the curve at Mytholmes with the 12:35 Santa Special from Keighley. 19th December 2004. Another great exhaust, but for me the shot is spoilt by the huge headboard.
6LA8 Ghan from Alice Springs has just arrived at Keswick with Seatrain liveried NR56 with headboard attached on 9-1-1999.
The Ghan headboard didn't last long on the front only lasting a few months
LMS Black 5, 45110 on its approach to the Tenbury Wall on a Santa Special 24/12/2005. Note no headboard. When will we see the engine steam again ?
With the Ghan headboard mounted on the nose, DL49 departs the Keswick passenger terminal with the Ghan to Alice Springs on 12-10-91.
This is my favorite picture we shot for our brochure, too bad our bedroom doesn't look like this anymore!
