Haystack

the ubiquitous Haystack Rock photo from Cannon Beach, Oregon

Around 9 weeks ago now I had planned to visit Cannon Beach and it's famous Haystack Rock, but my the time I had spent the day exploring Ecola State Park and many other cool spots the rain had kicked in and drew the day to a close.

This time round the 7.15am start from Hillsboro paid off, as the weather was literally perfect with the moon just dipping over the horizon by 8.30am when I set foot on the beach, with night saying goodbye it gave off the wonderful variation in colours of blue you see on the horizon.

A little different view of the rocks. There was a lot of fog rolling in so I thought black and white set the mood for this a little better.
