While watching Cornel West on The Colbert Report with my new room mate (pictured above) he started getting antsy and looking for a reason to leave.
At one point Stephen jokingly asks "So now that Obama is president, isn't racism destroyed?"
Cornel West's says, "Racism isn't gone, it just means that we've made some progress..."
At this point new room mate says, "OH MY GOD. A BLACK MAN COMPLAINING EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT. I CAN'T STAND THIS SHIT."
He get's up and leaves. On the way out he looks at the TV and mumbles, "I don't even know what this guy is saying anyway."

Dozens of Nanaimo residents came out Sunday to give a neo-nazi group calling itself 'Soldiers of Odin' a heroes' welcome. They were there against DisContent City - set up by Nanaimo's homeless population on unused city land. The anti-homeless protesters spewed rage and hateful comments at residents and supporters of the camp, until they got all tired of yelling and went back to their homes.
I Love the colours of autumn, especially when it's along our fenceline but I Hate that it's going to fall away soon.

The evil and violence I have witnessed on the streets of the UK in the last 599 days or so is frightening. The police have lost control and can do nothing. Hands tied by their misguided leaders.
