Charles, the Prince of Wales and future King of England, wrote an influential book called "Harmony". In it he outlined his vision for a balanced way of life, being completely sensitive to the requirements of a sustainable environment, and also maintaining a productive life. This is a vision worth striving for. Balance and harmony are two words that we desperately need to rediscover in our fractured world.
After retiring from the Australian senate in 2012, Dr Bob Brown decided to gift "Oura Oura" to the Australian people. He did this through entrusting it to the care of Bush Heritage Australia.
Bush Heritage Australia is an independent not-for-profit that buys and manages land, and also partners with Aboriginal people, to conserve our magnificent landscapes and irreplaceable native species forever.
Nature, harmony and a balanced lifestyle. That's what we need today.

So Therese learned more and more that our response is necessary if this need of divine love to be loved is to be satisfied. We, and we alone, can free the immensity of divine love to do its will, do justice to itself: to take hold of our littleness and bring each one of us to blissful fulfilment in his love. This alone can satisfy his heart - and ours. Divine love has made itself powerless as it crosses the frontier `in human form', leaving `divinity' on the other side and with it, all that that might mean in terms of power and self-protection. From now on, divine love in person is in our hands to do as we please with it.

Crazy Tuesday - theme of June 18, 2019: Five / 5
Exactly five Chinese Lanterns at / above the entrance of the China Restaurant "Five Stars" in my home town
I didn't notice these five lanterns so far - until I had this theme in my mind and was looking for suitable objects (my camera always at hand) ;D
In China the number Five (五 / wŭ) stands among others for harmony, balance of the five elements and creativeness / creative power
HaPpY CrAzY Tuesday :)

In Floriography phlox means harmony
This weeks theme for #Smile on Saturday is #Floriography. It was a topic I was unfamiliar with and the definition from the theme information follows below. I had fun searching through my various flower photos to see if they could fit the theme and their meaning was conveyed in the image.
DEFINITION: FLORIOGRAPHY is the 'language of flowers'. Dating back to the Victorian times floriography was used as a means of coded communication through various flowers and floral arrangements, allowing people to express feelings which otherwise could not be spoken.
Through the years people have used flowers to express their feelings to others in many ways and in modern times flowers still have various different meanings.
This photo taken at the end of April 2020 at the end of the first wave of Covid-19 in Switzerland. The softness of the colors and this impression of harmony and tranquility contrasts with the violence and sadness caused by this pandemic. Even if a loved one disappears, the sun will never stop setting and will rise again the next morning in a magical round.

The downfall of the attempts of governments and leaders to unite mankind is found in this- in the wrong message that we should see everyone as the same. This is the root of the failure of harmony. Because the truth is, we should not all see everyone as the same! We are not the same! We are made of different colours and we have different cultures. We are all different! But the key to this door is to look at these differences, respect these differences, learn from and about these differences, and grow in and with these differences. We are all different. We are not the same. But that's beautiful. And that's okay.In the quest for unity and peace, we cannot blind ourselves and expect to be all the same. Because in this, we all have an underlying belief that everyone should be the same as us at some point. We are not on a journey to become the same or to be the same. But we are on a journey to see that in all of our differences, that is what makes us beautiful as a human race, and if we are ever to grow, we ought to learn and always learn some more. - C.
