I spent my newspaper days shooting bricks of ilford FP4 plus. Roll after roll. It’s interesting to see the differences between the various brands made by Harman. I’m shooting kentmere to test cameras but it’s cheap and plastic. I prefer FP4 plus any day or even at a press XP2 super 400. I am experimenting with other stock but I’m still loving the FP4 plus. Maybe it’s nostalgia but it still makes great images imo with balanced grain and tonality

These are...unusual images. Harman Phoenix does this sort of thing, especially (as it turns out) if you have harsh lighting and shoot at box. I suggest avoiding lighting extremes, and trying to shoot at ISO 100, both which will tame it a bit; some folks love this film, but so far my results are not greatly to my liking.
