I spent some time photographing and learning about a Hare Krishna community in Melbourne for a uni assignment.
I've never felt so welcomed, yet so out of my comfort zone at the same time.
I've never left a community with such a strong conviction that it just isn't for me.
I've also never learned so much for an assignment ever. I had to immerse myself in a different world for a few weeks, without leaving home. It was a strange experience all around.
Staying with their humans in a converted boathouse in Bideford the hares found a comfortable niche for themselves high up in the rafters
I believe this is a hare. Although the damage done to it could make it a rabbit. This animal had been recently run over in the last 24-48 hours or so.

Cobbled together with GIMP.
March 12, 2009. So I landed at O'Hare, checked my connection three or four times, gate E2A, went through this tunnel and over to the other terminal, thinking maybe I'd take a photo, but didn't, got over there, checked my connection, gate has changed, gate C7, about 20 feet from where I had arrived, so went back to the original tunnel, through the tunnel... and this time, decided to take a photo of the tunnel. Because, I have learned to take the hint when fate intervenes. Anyhow, I'm in Austin now.
Lots of playing and cheeky behaviour in our local Hare population in Kent. Seem to be doing okay this year.
