Winning scores:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

wlwlwldl: 97/100

-Cleanliness: 50/50

I believe he really did a great job applying these decals! The fin was a major plus, whether it was painted or decaled, it was done very very nicely, comparable to even Dutch's infamous fin decal application!

-Detail: 18/20

Based on the Clone Captain from EPII, I looked up a reference image of it. The only reason why he didn't get a solid 20/20 was because there were some red markings behind the helmet, which were not present on the fig. Things that really made this clone a winner was the tiny details, like the small square near the mouth of the helmet, very subtle but very effective details were put into it.

-Presentation: 10/10

Exactly what I want to see with the entries, the picture is a nice, high-quality, non-blurry picture that really shows off the custom!

-Design: 19/20

The templates used are similar to most templates, with the TLC leg design and a wrap-around arm design that is becoming a lot more widespread in use. For this portion of scoring, it's really the helmet decals that really took the cake! The visor decal is, in my opinion, the best part of the fig.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

JPO97Studios: 93/100

-Cleanliness: 50/50

The decals on this fig were applied very nicely, all parts of the custom having even, non-crooked application. As always, JPO shows his skilled application through his Hardcase fig!

-Detail: 16/20

Based of of the Season 4 Hardcase, I looked back to my reference pictures taken of this clone. For the most part, JPO had his designs spot on, but points were docked because the details on the back of the helmet were not included. Another small detail that I was really glad to see though was that the line on the fin did not take up the entire space of the fin, as it leaves the edges of the fin white. Little details count!

-Presentation: 9/10

The only reason this isn't a 10/10 is that the background is white, therefore making the fig sort of blend in to the background. This sounds like a really picky statement, but when you think about it, designed or darker backgrounds really portray a contrast, making the fig and all its details stick out. Aside from that, the desired high-quality photo was produced!

-Design: 18/20

Small details overlooked on the template, for example, there are two blue lines over the visor, whereas in the show, there was only one line directly over the visor. Aside from that, the rest of the design is great, you can always tell a custom belongs to JPO from this signature torso design!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Xero_Fett: 90/100

-Cleanliness: If any of you have seen Xero_Fett's stuff, you'll notice that he is very good at applying decals, always getting the decals spot-on and as even as can be. This figure is no exception to that!

-Detail: 16/20

I couldn't give a solid 20 because this is another person's template, but credit was given. Score was bumped up a bit, however, because he added some details on the back of the helmet, making the fig more accurate to the actual clone!

-Presentation: 10/10

The unique background Xero_Fet uses always makes the fig stand out and really show off its colors! You are easily able to see the quality of the photo (huge image size!)!

-Design: 15/20

For those who used other peoples' decals, the score was usually automatically set to 15/20 under presentation and details (depending if the decals you used are accurate). I can't give a solid 20 for these categories, because the design is someone else's, but as stated in the rules if you use another's design, you have a bit of a lower chance at winning. Xero_Fett really managed to get a good score on this fig with his excellent application and presentation though!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd like to congratulate everyone who entered, there were some pretty close scores (a few of you got scores in the upper 80's)! If you didn't win this time, don't get discouraged! There'll be another contest hopefully in the spring, so you can try your skills again through there! To the winners, your excellent customs have earned the prizes, which will be shipped to you all within the next two weeks. Just let me know your addresses via FM and you're prizes will be shipped asap! Thanks to all who participated!

I have one more display case left and I'm having trouble deciding to show my suicide squad customs or to show all my 501st Legion troops like Hardcase, Jesse and Kix. PLEASE COMMENT!!!!!

I decided to build a background, one that would bring out the details of the figs more. So yeah, new background! Also, Hardcase now has the new visor, arm, and leg templates!

I build this Gatling gun with the limited bricks that I have, therefore the scale is off. If you have a better version of the Gatling gun please let me know thank you.

My first two S4 501st customs revisited. Rex and Fives will be up later.

If you favorite, please comment.

Yes, I know he didn't lead them, but they match ;)

One of my favorite designs from season 4 clone wars was Kix, so I went ahead and did my own iterations using a Jesse and Hardcase helmet. Jesse took a bit of extra paint, hardcase took a bit more steady of a hand.

Yup - Finally something new ! As you can see its not done - still got Hardcase, Appo, Dogma and Tup/Kix - not sure which - maybe both :) Enjoy! Updates will continue so stay tuned ! Also, please feel free to check out all the other stuff I have drawn in my stream

I smiled and gave a thumbs-up but, his expession never changed.

Ho, hum.

I sent Jason Hardcase and Cody and he surly did a great review on HardCase (Cody comes next week!)

Already known to some of you, I've worked with EMD Customs to bring to you "Build-your-own Clone" packs!

For the price of $12, you will receive a blank white minifigure, a black head, and a CAC helmet; the bare elements needed to make a figure. You will also receive two sets of decals (one for backup) made by me. With this pack, you'll be all set to make your own custom! Instead of buying parts from different sellers to make a custom, you can save on time and shipping with the purchase of this pack. All you have to do is send EMD customs an FM, let him know which designs you want, and he'll ship to you ASAP. You can choose between Rex, Hardcase, and Fives! Get them while they're still around!

Psychologists from Rutgers University found that men who held traditional beliefs about masculinity—that men should be tough, self-reliant, brave, and emotionally restrained—were more likely to ignore their medical problems. Despite warning signs of potential health problems, they delayed scheduling appointments with a doctor for as long as possible.

When the men saw a doctor, they minimized their symptoms--when their doctor was male. The men were more honest with a female doctor, most likely because they felt less pressure to appear tough.

Ironically, these same men showed a strong preference for male doctors. Even though they were less forthcoming with male doctors, the men preferred them, because they believed that men are better doctors than women.

These stunning leather cases are handmade in Japan. Beautiful.

These guys look amazing, but I will need to fix up the decals a little so Jesse and Hardcase will be delayed for a little while. Rex will be done soon and I am going to make Kix in a week or so. Sorry about not being able to post stuff this week. I hope to get some customs out in the next few days.

The best of the 501st.

Calling it AirBook from here on. Gawd, it's like a super-purple chicklet!

I'm still working on this umbara moc, and am thinking about even bring it to Brick Fair VA if I can make it good enough... Basically I've doubled the size of the battlefield, and I'm thinking of making it the sene in the beginning where the gunships drop the clones off in a big field because there are less trees and they are smaller so it would be more accurate :} so I may eventually add a gunship. Also I am planning to get some custom 501st troops to add ( fives, hardcase, kiks, ect) from either cac or minifigs4u which I'm still deciding...and of course the big green patch will be gone, I just need to make a brick link order to get black plates and more trees :) also if anyone is planning to go to BF VA, and if I do decide to bring this, if anyone who has the umbaran set would possibly like to bring the umbarans to let me borrow for the moc, I would really appreciate it, cause as of now I only have 2 umbarans to go up against all the clones :3

Prototype 1

Again criticism welcome.

How i get all my lighting kit to location.... seriously MEGA heavy, vagabond and step down transformer weigh 10KG's each!

lucky it wheels, incredible case, I can take everything to location on my own without shit getting smashed/broken :)

These things sell for $17.99 at various retailers. Why??? I bought these on ebay straight from Hong Kong for $3.22 each including shipping. In case you are wondering why I bought so many, it is to carry my respooled 620 film on vacation. I can always sell them on ebay if I don't use them.

I have a mildly used, very well maintained top-of-the-line Mapex Orion 4-Piece rock drum kit in Coffee Burst with Black Hardware. It is by far the most incredible set I have ever seen / owned. I bought it as part of a much larger drumset (see other posted ad) but have separated them into two sets. It has all North American Maple shells, with an exotic burlwood maple exterior.

Sizes include:

12x9 rack tom

16x16 floor tom

22x18 bass drum (removable tom mount)

14x5.5 matching snare drum

(if you are looking for a larger drumset, I also have a matching 8" rack tom, 10" rack tom, 14" rack tom, and 18" kick drum / floor tom which I am offering as a separate kit. I also have a variety of other snare drums that are available separately)

Read more about the Orion Series here:

usa.mapexdrums.com/drums/orion/index.asp

Included Hardware (everything pictured):

4x top-of-the-line Mapex 900 Series cymbal hideaway boom stands

full tom mounting hardware (on bass drum (optional) or on stands - no rack)

1x Janus double-bass drum pedal

1x T580A saddle-style drum throne

1x H950A top-of-the-line Hi-Hat Stand

The drums are available with a COMPLETE set of Stagg hardcases (also pictured). These are the best drum cases in the market, feature heavy padding (plus my own custom additional padding) and wheels on the 22" case. All cases can be stacked up on top of eachother (unique locking design) and rolled around for EASY transport. I also have two Mapex rolling hardware bags for all the hardware.

Read more about Stagg Cases here:

www.harmony-central.com/articles/modern_drummer/htm/0604_...

I will also throw in a full set of drum silencing pads (including cymbal pads) so you can practice at home without the volume. The drumheads are like new, and I also have another complete set of skins which I will include as well.

These drums have been extremely well-maintained, and everything is a current model from the manufacturers. Street price would be over $6,000 after tax brand new. I am completely open to negotiation, as I have to move them quickly. Serious buyers only.

The helmets will be better, once i get someone to trade me some Arealight helmets.

I still need to add something to Hardcase's torso.

Also, I'm working on Kix, and Commander Monk :)

Back in action. Flu for about 12 days. Got back into cardiac rehab on 12th. Then it snowed.

Scott and Colin (plus some others)..thanks for the suggestions.....i ditched the foam that came with the case and bought the dividers. Seriously....night and day difference. Now that i have had both, i can say the foam is not a good option. Yes, the foam might provide more protection, but i can get much more in the case now. Even though the case may look full, there is still more room if i put the flash triggers in with the lens hood on the far right, i can get another lens in here...and with some other tweaking, im sure i could get more in here, but for now, this is good.

There are 6 flash units in here, camera, 3 lenses, triggers, hood, cable release, bag of batteries and lens cleaning stuff, and 2 stofens.
