Our last trip to the mud cobra field was a wet one.
Sure there was the usual Murphy traps and
stinky stuff scattered around for the dogs
to roll in. But none of that matters when
your having way to much fun ;-)------

Abused, Abandoned Jungle Dogs.
- Photo taken just before
Pumpkin Pie got real sick -
In the last few days Pumpkin has started
feeling much better. She's still a bit slow
but her smile has returned. This is good.
Plans are being made for a trip out
to the monkey temple in a few days.
We're still trying to figure out what
we can afford to take right now ?
Any an all help will be appreciated.
All the temple dogs will receive their
monthly injections that are now over
a month an a half late. Two dogs will
also receive urgently needed booster
shots. No# 1 wife is in contact with the
nuns to see what is the most needed.
We wanted to go today but it's a big
Buddha day which means the nuns
will be real busy. Maybe Friday or
maybe Saturday all depends on
what we can come up with for
the resupply. We are also
waiting for a car/driver.
No# 1's brother ;-)-

who are across the swamp talking to me.
The nuns bungalows are directly behind us.
In the next couple of days another run out
to the monkey temple will be made in order
to give Ms Molly her distemper/rabies shots.
Now I know you're asking why didn't you
just give her the shots on the 7th when
everyone else received their shots ?
Simple answer ---
I screwed up and forgot, my bad ;-(
But the cool part is in a few days
we'll be back out to see the
nuns, dogs and MKM ;-)

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
Back Story .........................................
No# 1's brother and I left at 5:30AM.
Car was stuffed full of 10 kilo kibble
bags plus extra supplies for both dogs
and Nuns.Monthly medications will be
administered today too.
Bingo Room was opened, fan turned on and
aired out as the feed bags are prepared
for the morning trip to The Spirit House.
First thing I noticed when we arrived was the
courtyard at The Dog Palace had been cleaned
big time. All weeds and garbage was gone plus
bushes had been trimmed up. Steps were swept
as was the walkways that make up a large part of
this huge building.Before leaving a trip to the roof
with Rocky, Mama and BTP took place. To my surprise
the wall behind the Buddha statues on the second floor
now has a beautiful, colorful mural painting. No# 1 wife had
talked to The Nuns awhile back and was told hundreds
of military had come out to clean the temple grounds.
This was over a big Buddha weekend. Someone was
invited to do the wall painting and in a few days
a photo of said painting will be uploaded 4 U.
All dogs were cared for and they were full of unbridled
enthusiasm.In other words they went bananas when I
arrived at The Monkey Temple.Pumpkins monkey
wound has healed up leaving a scar on her face.
Legs The Zoomer was zipping around at Mach 5.
The Hooligans did their dancing on two hind legs routine.
Mama and Baby Boy Rocky kept their muzzles buried
in my neck when ever I sat down. Pretty obvious
I'd been MIA way to long. My body started
giving out after 3 hours so it was
time to head home ...... ;-)
No guarantee when I can return we'll just see how long
it takes to recoup from this trip. My guess is maybe a
week but like the dogs I hope it's sooner then later.

Some of you might remember Ms MiMi.
She's either 10 or soon to be 11 years old.
Rescued from the streets of Bangkok
when she was just a few weeks old.
MiMi lives here with our niece and is
a real happy little dog. Sometimes
she'll chase The Monkey around.
She's also quick to sound the
alarm if a snake is near by.
She's a real love bug ;-)-
Todays story is about Blondie,
who belongs to Perfesser Bear.
This morning no#1 wife was taken out
to see the nuns, and of course she
spent time with Blondie and Molly.
Now PB this message is for you ---
Mr Blondie is now all healthy.
Shiny coat, pink gums and
no more eye wax. I'll do a
translation about e-wax.
No# 1 didn't know what words to
use for eye mucus so wax was
all she could come up with.
Nuns continued with his meds
and all is good to go now ;-)-

After doing the 'zoomies' for some time, she sits in the wind to catch her breath for the next set of 'zoomies. One happy dog running free in the wind chasing after leaves flying in the wind.

Miss Yo-Yo has a new AKA - Miss Mischief ;-)

you are still my very best buddy."
Yo-Yo is a real hand full. The nuns
give her a much needed bath and
second later she's right back in the
swamp chasing wild crazed apes !
Remember back when the monkeys
would come by the nuns like hundreds
of locus. Now Miss Yo-Yo has put a stop
to that kind of unruly activity. Only a small
handful of apes pass the nuns bungalows
knowing Miss Yo-Yo will get-em real good !

Today is Wednesday the 5th of July.
Starting tomorrow and for the next
week we have many things to do.
Both no# 1 wife and myself must
report to immigrations early in
the morning tomorrow. If all
goes well we are allowed
to stay one more year.
Why no# 1 wife you ask ?
No# 1 wife received her American
citizenship many many years ago.
Now for her to stay in Thailand is
no big deal. But for me, it is a big
deal. Many hoops 2jump through.
Not to worry we've been doing this
for a very long time. Only change is
from the government not from us ! !
Furthermore the nuns are going up
the country on the 9th - to the 12th.
This is where logistics gets tricky.
Now that MKM is gone it is us who
must and will backup the nuns by
feeding the dogs everyday. Every
morning we will be driven out to
do this chore by no# 1's brother.
Yes the dogs are fed twice a day
but they will adjust and improvise.
Cool part is we get to spend time
with them and get a few photos.
What's that old saying about when
you have a bunch of citrus you
make a sows ear or a purse
or fresh orange juice. Or is
black the new orange ?
Can't remember just
what it is I forgot.
Anyway this photo is Tinkerbell
last year all happy to see us ;-)

On the way to the m/c field we stopped
at the village gas station for 1 liter of fuel.
The dogs are excited cuz they know we
will soon be at their favorite play ground.
And yes they rolled on many open bags
of cow manure and stunk like hell ;-0-
And yes once home they were all
hosed down while still tethered
in the sidecar. Part of the deal.
Right now the sky has opened
up and torrential monsoon
rains are falling upon us.
But we're all inside ;-)

Pumpkin the Rascal is lying in front of her while her son
Rocky is leaning against the wall off to the left.
Tinker Bell has her head stuffed through the pickets and
is trying her best to stick her lizard like tongue in my ear.
Little Stubby an Legs the Zoomer are behind me while
being attended to by no# 1 wife and nurse nun.
MAD dog and Anna are quietly laying under a table ....;-)
Life at the monkey temple can at times be quite tranquil .

(might not move for the rest of the day, till like, late next morning, but then he's ready to go again :D )

Even today, Ms Pumpkin Pie and
Mr Boney Baloney are best friends.
Note the date, December 2019.
Of course Old Man Boney doesn't
care that Pumpkin The Princess has
a younger boyfriend on the side by the
name of, "Mr. Little Larry The Monkey."
This hooliganism takes place right next
to our house where there's banana trees.
Same trees the foraging pachyderms stole
a bunch of bananas from us a few years back.
Recently Mr Boney takes a lot of naps so he
can rest up for when he really goes to sleep.
Speaking of elephants, in the near future I will
relay a story of when no# 1 was a small little girl
living north of the bridge of the river kwai. Their
house was only made of thatched banana leaf
making for a very thin, like way very thin walls.
One night just after dark and until daylight
a tiger was trying to kill a young elephant
just outside of said thin walled house !
The story will show just how wild the
wildlife is right here where we live !

Una vez mas, mientras caminaba por Point Pleasant Park conocí a uno de los perros mas hermosos que he visto. Se trata de Gola una muy amigable y asombrosa Bernese mountain dog (Boyero de Berna) de 3 años y medio. A pesar de su gran tamaño saltaba por todos lados con mucha energía, era claro que realmente disfrutando por fin de estos bellos días soleados.
Espero pronto volver a verla y conocer el origen de su nombre que me dijeron que era muy interesante.
