A well spent bit of time in a darkened alleyway with the perfect damsel(sometimes) in distress..
Thank you Khaliesi for a rather fun photoshoot… Please visit her stream to see her versions
Fish out of water
Hesitating before venturing any further into the dark alleyway, she collects her thoughts:
Sure is creepy enough here, but that man at the service station had said that cutting through this alley would be the quickest way on foot….
It was a good thing that he noticed my engine leaking some fluid when I pulled up for gas..
He had offered to fix it for free while I was at the show…
I wanted to call a taxi, but he said that it would take like an hour to come, and I do not want to be late for the theatre….so he most kindly told me about this short cut, he didn’t mention that it was through a nasty alley though, must have forgotten…
Such a nice young man, even though I did not care much about all his tattoos….and that spikey mohawk of his! ( giggles to herself)
Well I better scurry, it’s probably just down this way….
Oh wait, someone is coming this way, maybe he can be of help to me….
That is odd, he has a cane, but he is not using it properly… looks like he is pulling on the handle.
Maybe he is in need of assistance also…
Hails out to him as she disappears from view.. “Oh sir?”
Then all is silence………
Bee cleaning his or her head looking like its putting there hands up for arrest. bee was sat still on my dustbin just before sundown. posed very still for me to take a picture. great detail on the eyes.
Monte Creek Ranch Winery is just east of Kamloops, BC. The area is famous for the last train robbery in 1906 by the notorious “Gentleman Bandit” Billy Miner who was captured near this view. We enjoyed the winery's Hands Up White.
....you are under arrest.
This is The Old Police House which is now a private residence.
Notice the old set of stocks on the lawn too.
Den of thieves
Shoot , she muttered, dead end.

Well I do not want to be late, should probably cut down this alleyway here.
Looks like people milling about, so it should be safe enough innit?
Safety in numbers, that’s what me Grams’ always sayin..
Perhaps one of em could show me the way? She thought cheerfully to erself as she turned and swished her way down the dimly lit alleyway with its shadowy figures inhabitants…
A few Minutes later.
She finally made it through, just around the corner they had said.
What a friendly lot, not atoll as scary as they had first looked. Hugs, admiration of her dress, excited to see her. She never usually received that much attention, not even at the pub, Poet and Peasant, were she would be heading later, after the show….
She looked back, they all seemed to have scurried off on their own business..
She had invited them to meet up later, she hoped they wo’od come.
With these thoughts meandering about, she turned the corner and swished off towards the city lights ahead…..

Alleged Mara gang members, detained by the Police emergency unit, pass through the initial search on the yard at the detention center in San Salvador, El Salvador. Although the country's two major gangs reached a truce in 2012, the police holding cells currently house more than 3000 inmates, five times more than the official built capacity. Partly because the ordinary Mara gang members did not break with their criminal activities (extortion, street-level distribution of drugs, etc.), partly because Salvadorean police still applies controversial anti-gang law which allows to detain almost anyone for “suspicion of gang membership”. Accused young men are held in police detention centers where up to 25 inmates may share a cell of five-by-five metres. Here, in the dark overcrowded cages, under harsh and life-threatening conditions, suspected gang members wait long months, sometimes years, for trial or for to be transported to a regular prison. © Jan Sochor Photography
