You did the right thing at the right moment because intuition told you to do so. Does that resonate with you?

After 6 hrs in the truck waiting in line to leave Burning Man, someone had to take action. I grabbed my bullhorn and worked the line of Trucks, RVs and hippy buses. Insuting, encouraging, and yelling in windows, I attempted to get people out into the Nevada sun to do a photo shoot.
I billed it as the "100 Burner Handstand", hoping that we could get at least 100 people to stand on their hands, while waiting for the bathroom in 95+ degree heat. This is the result.

Athletic young man doing handstands on a stone wall on the Vernal & Nevada Falls Trail in Yosemite National Park, California.
I'll have to admit, I was a little nervous about this! It seemed like a great idea to do a handstand on a bench (stool) last night, but looking at that stool (which is actually kind of high), I almost chickened out and used books for my "bench" instead. But, with my 4 year old cheering me on I had to do it! Thought is would be a fun new perspective since there are so many feetsies on bench monday.
I love bench monday so much! It makes me actually look forward to starting a new week. Thanks everyone! : )
Tried a texture, too. Couldn't decide, but I think I like the non-texture better.
I'll be the first to say that from a technical perspective this is an awful shot. The light is all over the place, going from massively over exposed to underexposed, the focus is off and the whole pov is strange.
Yet, for some reason that I can't put my finger on, it grabs me as an image and I'm almost thinking of getting it as a canvas.
Accidental shot cliche!
HCS folks.
Apparently these dragonflies stand up to expose as little body to the sun to prevent overheating in the sunshine. Perhaps we should all do this with the current hot temps... Come on everybody up on your hands! Lol
Ran across these ladies doing handstands in front of this massive mural.

Ken walks 100 metres on his hands. The AF fireman competition was going on at the same time, and we had arguably more spectators. Good times! LSA Anaconda, Balad, Iraq, 13Apr2008.
Took a stroll along the beach today to watch the sunset with the kids. There I met Elaine, who's from Boston, Massachusetts and is here for vacation. She told me that she's been taking pictures of herself doing a handstand everywhere she goes. She showed me photos of her doing handstands in Puerto Rico, NYC, Brazil, Paris,Texas, Niagara Falls and this lame ass beach called Ocean Beach, SF. LOL
