Second day this week that I, the nervous nellie, nailed handstand - yay! Thanks for the wall space rental, Lisa :)
This was a lot harder to keep her balanced long enough to get a photo, but her arms are even more extended, pushing her head higher off the ground. A full feet-together handstand is just too hard to keep balance with.
Made for BGI-akademiet where I work as a teacher. The school is a school for kids with an interest in soccer, handball, gymnastics, dance and cycling.
All are shot out doors with Studioflashes as fill. 2 x D-lite-it-2 at half power.
This Hover fly was performing for me...i could not get a sharper shot as she is so small and i was in a difficult position but i could not wait to post this ;)))
I took this picture to celebrate the post-winter breakout of my girly jeans and my new phat/ginormous belt buckle featuring the USS Constitution! W00t!
Thanks to Coworker Sadie for taking the picture!
I think I'm going to retake this because I look so funny with the squinty eyes :S
A girl of about 8 took this picture: hence it is out of focus and poorly timed. Think it just about counts as a handstand, though.
We never made it to stunt man school, but Terry still can do one-handed handstands... for 1/500th of a second at least.
local mozambique kid posing for a photograph.... he was having a ball posing for photographs and then seeing the results on the camera.
The other day we watched Dogtown and Z-Boys. I thought he wasn't paying attention, because he kind of zoned out at the end. But then, when I showed him my new skateboard, the first thing he tried to do was a handstand!
I cheated before by using the figure's head to make a third balance point, but you can get the Phicen in a full handstand. It's not very easy, but it can be done. Might also be easier with flatter hands.
Frontward view of the handstand so you can see her head's off the ground. And also get a nice look at her abs.
