My friend Dot and I were on the same frequency when we handed each other small gifts over Christmas 2012. She gave me these two wonderfully fragrant bars of handmade soap. I love love love handmade soap, especially that which is made with so much care and with natural ingredients.
Nag Champa Blue and White Handmade Soap
Blue and white reminds me of the ocean. Living in WI I guess this as close as I get for now. I added extra nag champa fragrance for a scent lingering bar. Superfatted with my amazing concoction of oils and butters (see ingredients) and all extra large bars. A visual and fragrant festival of joy!
I use my soap as shampoo bars as well. It's a fun way to get clean from head to toe in one fell swoop ~ schwooosh! I then use a (very light) jojoba oil, shea butter and avocado butter mixture about every three days. I have very long, curly, unmanageable, frizzy, gnarly hair... and it actually pleases me. Not to mention no chemicals left to leech their way into my scalp!
My method: Lather up a wash cloth really REALLY good and squeeze it out onto your hair. This is easier then trying to lather your hands and then transfer. Scrub it up and use the remainder for your body. Close your eyes for the hair part though - or ouch! Then rinse and you are all done. You've saved water, time and smell great too. Ah…
*I only use my 'plain' soap bars for shampoo bars. I don't use any soaps that have clay, or oatmeal, coffee, poppy seeds, flowers, herbs… etc. You get the picture right? I don't want anything leftover hanging around making me look silly. I can do that by myself.
You will receive 1 bar approximately 5+ ounces. Some bars weigh more and these bars will go first. I am a terrible cutter, but I try...
It's good to let your soap air out between uses for a longer lasting bar. Store your handmade soaps in a cool dry place letting them breathe. I cut mine in quarters to make them last longer :-) and this way I can use a different soap everyday - yay me!
Hand crafted soaps are so good for your skin. No added chemicals and all the natural glycerin is retained. I'll never go back to buying store bought chemical laden soaps.

Affordable Handmade Soap for the Masses
Spa Indulgences by Niki, my store, has been in business since 2009. When I first started out, I did not even consider my handmade soap.
It initially began as Weavah Diva Creations. During this first version, I focused on my fiber arts, exclusively. There was not homemade soap during these early days.
Eventually, I was convinced that I needed to bring my handmade soap bars to the public, because they are high quality, and kept at an affordable price point.
In my store, you will find not just my beautiful handmade soaps, but bath bombs, shower bombs, and gift sets.
If you are having trouble deciding on the soap you want, see which of my varieties are available for my assortment set. This set includes 12 of my 5.5-ounce bars. Each of these handmade soap bars is individually wrapped and labeled for your enjoyment or for giving as gifts.
I am also please to announce the introduction of an assortment set that features 12 of my 4.5-ounce bath bombs.
When you are ready to order your favorite scent, check to see if I have it in stock, or you can order it by the batch.
If you have questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

This soap is made with real cream and lavender essential oil, which makes it a rich and mildly scented bath soap.
Amber and Sandalwood Polka Dot Handmade Natural Soap
This soap is made using the hot process method. It's an amber base colored gold from the mica with brown indian sandalwood liberally placed thoughout. It smells very, very good. The amber makes it smell sweeter and the sandalwood brings it right back down to earth. It's a great scent for men and women alike. It looks so nice too! Enriched with jojoba oil and shea butter for your skin to drink in the moisture.

I just love to sit and smell this soap! Juicy oranges, spicy cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, and poignant ginger blend together perfectly in this all natural soap!
An intoxicating, aphrodisiac potion of classic flowers to evoke romance. With a natural rose essential oil blend and a touch of jasmine and ylang ylang, this dreamy soap is a luxurious treat for the skin and senses.
Created for Valentine’s Day, but sold out in two days. It will make a reappearance for Mother’s Day.

This is the first time I was able to use the burgundy cloth drops over the black cloths! I really like the look!

This was the first time we'd offered this. These logs of soap had just come off the curing rack, but hadn't been cut yet because of my sprained ankle two weeks earlier.
I wanted to still offer the soaps, so I brought them along in full logs, my big scary butchers knife, and a large piece of tile to use as a cutting board.
I had the customer tell me where to cut, and they paid by the ounce. It was a huge draw into the booth, except everyone thought it was fudge! LOL!

To rotate or not? With the apple or the pie? I think the apple looks better. I think this is the keeper. I want to so like my shots with the actual apple pie but the colors just don't do it for me. Well, at least the apple pie tasted yummy. I think it was made with Granny Smith apples too - very firm, crunchy and slightly tart apples on the inside. I was surprised. The fresh whip cream was tasty too.
Yep, you read it right...BEER Soap!
And NO, it doesn't smell like beer. Cuz who would want to shower with beer...hmmmm...wait...maybe we shouldn't ask that! Seriously though, as fun an idea of making soap with beer is, there are *reasons* beer is awesome in soap. First of all, think of all that great lather! Hops, a major herbal ingredient in beer, has been long known for it's soothing, healing properties. It is full of amazing amino acids & is great for sensitive skin.
We do not add any additional fragrance to this wonderful soap. Our beer soap substitutes Corona beer for the water that is normally used in our soap recipe. This yummy beer provides an amazing scent to this soap...it's just kinda hard to describe. It is a very warm, homey, rich smell. It is a perfect unisex scent!
PRISON STRIPES Handcrafted Anise Soap
Anise with Midnight Australian Black Clay
This is my Folsom Prison Blues salute!
Do you like the smell of black licorice? Well that’s exactly what anise oil smells like. It's used to make candies and liquors... These are a few of my favorite things!
Made with natural oils, butters, clay and essential oils this is a very nice bar of soap. The black stripes in this soap are loaded with Australian Midnight Black Clay, which is said to have high iron and oxygen properties and nourishing to the skin.
To the white stripes I've added mango butter and lanolin. Mango butter is famous for many, many reasons. People have said it to be healing, good for wrinkles, and even creates a nice shave! You can read more about the wonderful benefits of mango butter here: www.botanical.com/products/learn/butter/mango.html
Lanolin is made from sheep wool. It's a hypoallergenic and bacteriostatic. It’s also said to be good for shaving as well. Wikipedia has a short, informative read on lanolin if you're got a couple of minutes: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lanolin

Are you pregnant? Congratulations! But please don't use anise oil when you are pregnant. It's bad.
Maybe you are wondering if essential oils are right for you. Please use your best wise judgment and research essential oils, their properties, effects, benefits and cautions when using them. There's a great wealth of information online and it's just a click away :-)
I made this soap as a request from my brother. He needed a soap for oily skin and healing properties so this is the result. I created a recipe with bergamot essential oil, tea tree essential oil, and sweet orange essential oil. It has a very light, citrusy scent with no artificial ingredients.
This soap was first wrapped in paper I tea-stained, then I placed colorful origami bands over them. The photo doesn't do the tea stain justice, it had the appearance of old parchment paper.
