My finished project from the Friends of Type workshop at TypeCon2011 in New Orleans.

So, we're almost half way February, but...still! So here's February of my monthly wallpaper project.

This one features versions with and without the lettering, but as I started this project because I wanted to practice my handlettering, I felt I had to make one now.

I'm generally happy pretty happy with it, but of course I can use some more practice. We'll see where this year takes me.

Hope you like it, and feel free to give constructive criticism.

The zip folder contains:

1920 x 1080 - plain and with lettering

1366 x 768 - plain and with lettering

720 x 1080 - plain only

Please read the terms of use in the folder.

The glamorous side of signmaking...

You can make any sign look fancy: just “put a scroll on it!”

You're My People

(thank you Lisa D.)

This does not capture the beauty of the song at all,

It was just something I wrote in my sketchbook that I wanted to share.

Favourite thought from my brain today, about yesterday. Not that I wanted yesterday to last forever.

I was going to bin this doodle but then that would have defeated the point of this little project.

Commission for a lovely lady called Jane-Anne, who wanted this done as a 3rd Wedding Anniversary present for her Husband.

The lyrics are from an Avenged Sevenfold song (at her request), and the colours used were also at her request. (Well out of my comfort zone!) :)
