Whilst driving along The Devil's Highway, we pulled over at a favourite scenic viewpoint along a mountain pass to absorb the fantastic vista which is always to be enjoyed there.

A man happened to be walking towards the greenery bordering the highway when we approached, and we were intrigued to see him carrying a large snake over to the verge. Gopher snakes often find their way onto the road and start sunbathing in rather dangerous spots, soon falling victim to passing traffic.

The benevolent reptile rescuer told us he always makes a point of stopping to assist such potentially unfortunate creatures, and we had chanced upon him during one such incident. It was a pleasant encounter and it's a nice thought that there are people like him around to quietly do occasional small good deeds for mother nature :-)

Once the cover of the output handling plate was removed, the amount of built up dust and card waste was incredible. See the clean version to see how much a little rubbing alcohol and vacuuming can improve it. More details: www.nycresistor.com/2012/01/15/ibm-129-card-data-recorder/

She seems to be enjoying this!

I love capturing people, especially candid shots. This woman was looking after the donkeys on Whitby beach. I wonder what stories she could tell of working outside in all weathers, looking after the donkeys?

These guys always seem kind of sketchy to me. Even though it's the creeps inside that actually open your bag up and go through your shit (and I'm not talking about when you go through security).

working on our handler defense, and i must say she does look rather frightening here. really though, she just gets herself all worked up barking and ends up looking like the poster dog for rabies vaccines. really though, who's going to mess with me when i've got the grimm with me?
