I FINALLY got some free time to get my new hammock out of the box and do some reading. I've had it for a couple of weeks now but just didn't get a chance to get it out. Someday I will finish this book. I got a polyester hammock this time which is supposed to last longer and it supports up to 500 lbs.
Hammock without rain fly. Nice setup if no rain is expected.
From the first setup of my Hennesy hammock expedition asym. It's one of the entry-level models coming in at about 1200 grams. Can be used as a chair and of course to lounge/sleep in :). Only negative is the lack of insulation at the bottom. Sleeping pad is obligatory! :)
Danielle had no problem, but this hammock must have smelled fear on me because it attacked and I couldn't escape its jaws!

Hammocks for the crew, aboard the replica of Captain James Cook's HMB Endeavour. The Endeavour was the ship Cook was sailing when he discovered the east coast of Australia.
NB: The deck pictured is extremely cramped I doubt there was three full feet from the floor boards to the rafters. I had to kneel to take this shot.
