This is a Hamentashen (triangle shaped pastry) with poppy seed filling made at the 2012 J'Burgh Purim Party in Pittsburgh PA.
In both:
Pita, snow peas, cucumbers, yellow pattypan squash, hummus held in slices of Torfurkey, and cheese (on the left side, also held in tofurkey). Grapes and blackberries, too, respectively.
I was using the tofurkey as a "cup" to hold the cheese and hummus. I was trying to roll it on itself to look like a round cup, but it insisted on flopping over in this triangular way. Looks kind of like a savory hamentashen, no?
We made the Purim sweets for our Christmas dessert. Basically we like to celebrate everything. The one in front is filled with Nutella; the others are filled with mixed berry jam from our friends Meg and Brian.
