I remember deciding to try this on on the spur of the moment one night, as it had hung in my wardrobe for months with the tags still on. I didn't really think much of it at the time...

The spotted horse is displeased because the white horse has grabbed its halter rope. I'm pretty sure this was in retaliation for a prior offense, in which the spotted horse had pulled the other's halter rope. These horses are bored, waiting for their turn in the rodeo action. The brown horse couldn't care less, obviously.

Last practice was the halter show. It's where you can see the beauty of the horse (you see that all the time but yeah haha), the riders need to make them really pretty and show us their move. This roan mare was one of the prettiest !

Had a little disappointment today. I went to visit a friend in jail. My first trip...haven't seen him in 7 months. I read through the website for the dress code requirements. No tank top - check, no tube top - hahaha, no halter top, mini skirt, leggings, see-through clothing - got it. Shoes required - okey dokey. Ah...but apparently flip flops aren't shoes. Sandals ok, flip flops no. They neglected to post it anywhere. So I made the trip for nothing - they turned me away at the door. At least his sister (who I went with) was able to visit him for a bit.
Then tonight, Amanda and I headed to Vienna, Virginia for the Indigo Girls concert that she got tickets to for her birthday. It was a great, very laid back show with an impressive opening act. Thanks again Amanda for inviting me along!

When my wife Sammy was a young girl, living on a farm about seven decades ago, she had her own horse, and this is a part of the rope halter she used.

This was a nice surprise and my kind of winery. I noticed the 15" gauge scale railroad looping around the Halter Ranch Vineyard on the way to another appointment. We circled back later to find out that the owner, Swiss entrepreneur, philanthropist, and world-leading land conservationist, Hansjörg Wyss is also a bit of a railroad fan. Instead of some nice models in a display room, he has almost 3 miles of track circling around his 2700 acre ranch. There are 3 locomotives all replicas of his native Switzerland. The diesel hydraulic is used for maintenance, this Croc is the workhorse, and the live steam only comes out when the owner is onsite which isn't often (He's well into his 80's). The train currently operates on Fridays and is supposed to be for members only. But they weren't crowded and let us buy tickets. It's nice tour of a beautiful property and a most unique wine tasting experience.
New and pretty umbrella adapter, but obviously (?, see further tests II and III) uneven illumination... Perhaps the angle is to high?
