I remember deciding to try this on on the spur of the moment one night, as it had hung in my wardrobe for months with the tags still on. I didn't really think much of it at the time...
Calyptratae is a subsection of Schizophora in the insect order Diptera, commonly referred to as the calyptrate muscoids (or simply calyptrates). It consists of those flies which possess a calypter that covers the halteres, among which are some of the most familiar of all flies, such as the house fly.
About 18,000 described species are in this group, or about 12% of all the flies yet described.

The spotted horse is displeased because the white horse has grabbed its halter rope. I'm pretty sure this was in retaliation for a prior offense, in which the spotted horse had pulled the other's halter rope. These horses are bored, waiting for their turn in the rodeo action. The brown horse couldn't care less, obviously.

In principe rijden de SGM's al lang niet meer op de Veluwelijn, maar vandaag mocht de 2962 nog een optreden verzorgen met een aantal ritten in de 5600-serie. Diverse kansen voor de liefhebber, en ik kon natuurlijk niet achterblijven. Ik heb vandaag diverse fotografen gezien in Putten.
Hier loopt de SGM 2962 het station binnen terwijl SNG 2755 optrekt na zijn haltering. De de eerste SNG's met gele koppies zijn pas een half jaartje in Nederland te zien, wat een mooi tijdsbeeld geeft tussen antiek en modern.
Stel 157 en 122 halteren op de halte Europaplein van de Noord-Zuidlijn in Amsterdam tijdens testritten.
