Did you really need another birthday card? Container Brewing's present to you; a West Coast IPA, the style which inspired this Brewery into creation. Now go ahead and sing that song, then crack this can and celebrate another spin around the sun
These are from my personal collection of stickers. (See next picture for the whole story!) Anyhow, this page is from 1979 and was sold by Hallmark. I especially like the pussywillows!
It was a busy day of rail replacement buses passing through Staines upon Thames today (27/02/2021) with 20 departures an hour heading for Hounslow, Windsor & Eton, Weybridge and Ascot.
There were 17 operators out and about which between them managed to put on a show of 37 buses to keep me busy! And it was lovely and sunny too!!
Terrorism is often, though not always, defined in terms of four characteristics:
(1) the threat or use of violence;
(2) a political objective; the desire to change the status quo;
(3) the intention to spread fear by committing spectacular public acts;
(4) the intentional targeting of civilians {dema.az.gov}
Leyland Royal Tiger Doyen C53F. Leyland's answer to the increase in popularity of foreign-built upmarket integral coaches was the Royal Tiger Doyen. Hallmark of Luton bought a new example which they ran for 18 months before selling it. Here, C813FMC is seen participating in the 32nd British Coach Rally at Brighton in 1986.
Hallmark's FD54 DHN (11518) is seen at the top of Redditch Bus Station about to depart to Ridgeway School to take up a S69 school service back to Redditch. The service no longer operates, with Diamond now only operating the S77 to the school. FD54DHN was new in December 2004 to Dunn-Line for use on National Express Coach duties, as their 26. Dunn-Line was then sold to Veolia Transport, and upon leaving Veolia it joined Dunn ownership again under the Rotala PLC's Hallmark operation, where it has remained since. It has jumped between depots with the Rotala PLC, including Long Acre, Preston, Blackpool and Redditch, and has carried the registration Y60 HMC. Since the photo was taken, it has been sold to Scania, Worksop. Y60HMC is a Volvo B12B/Plaxton Panther.
The driver seems sound and in the photo can be seen giving me the peace sign and a smile, and is one of many drivers at Redditch who are polite towards passengers.
I finally got around to sampling Newbury & District's Flightline 730 service which took me from Frimley to Heathrow Terminal 5 in 45 minutes and for £6 return - bargain!! The 730 service and it's sister route 731 (Frimley to Basingstoke) were launched in August 2023 to provide a fast and convenient public transport route into Heathrow form North East Hampshire and North West Surrey.
Upon arriving at Terminal 5, the bus enthusiast is bombarded with buses, coaches and colourful minibuses left, right and centre! From Terminal 5 you can travel for free into the central area where even more stuff will keep your camera very busy.
On this particular visit (11/08/2025) we saw a Custom Denning bus, a fleet of Scania Fencers, some rather smart coaches, a few overall advert buses, some London stuff and much more!
