The King & Queen of Hackney live in here.

I think it looks like a ginormous pepper pot with a screw-top lid. But it'd be "OFF WITH *my* HEAD!!!" if I'd said that too loud and they'd heard me.

Fine harnass competition with Hackney ponies

Hackney cross pony very quiet and people friendly. He reportedly drives but also took a rider today during the evaluation it appeared to be the first time he ever had a rider and he did great! You can see in the video below how calmly he handled everything and in hand how nice he moves he has a nice flowing suprisingly flat knee hunter type movement. With his calm disposition and nice fluid movment this boy is going to be a really nice mount for leadline or short stirrup. You have to watch him to appreciate him the pictures do not do this boy justice... $400

There's not much to Hackney - a few homes, a Baptist church, a grain elevator, and an industrial park that occupies the site of an abandoned army air field from World War II. Schools? No, the few kids around are bussed to neighboring towns. My interest in Hackney? It was named for my great, great-uncle William P. Hackney, one of those colorful frontier lawyers about whom many stories are told and written. In this view, the sunflowers surrounding the soy bean field look toward the morning sun in the east.

Hackney Marshes - what a fantastic open space. Incredible colours on a sunny day.

This is what you don't want to happen in a show. You want a good extended trot, but not to break into a canter!
