Me reading some Paul Theroux in Ha Tien. No crowd during the weekday. We practically had the place to ourselves.
A bit on the blue side, here is on of the best (and most photographed) views of Ha Long Bay. It looks like those are old time trading junks, but they're really full of white tourists.
Ha Long Bay, which literally means "descending dragon bay", is UNESCO World Heritage Site in northern Vietnam. The Bay belongs to Ha Long City and features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in a wide range of shapes and sizes. Ha Long Bay covers an area of approximately 1,533 square kilometres including 1,960 to 2,000 islets, most of which are limestone. The highest density of these islets (775) is concentrated in an area of 334 square kilometres. It is estimated that this bay has gone through various stages of change over a period of 500 million years.

Bac Ha has one of the most interesting ethnic markets in Vietnam and possibly everywhere in South East Asia: " Sunday is market day in Bac Ha, which is the occasion for the various local ethnies to gather in huge crowds to exchange the last news, gossip, shop, and eat a copious lunch. It was visibly a festive event.
No visit to Vietnam is complete without witnessing the natural spectacle of Ha Long Bay, with its countless islands rising dramatically from the sea. a boat trip through these towering rocky sentinels is an unforgettable experience!
Sadly we weren't blessed with the best of weather, it staying fairly dull and overcast for most of our trip, but the sight of the awe-inspiring natural rock formations surrounding us were more than enough compensation for the subdued light.

Xel- Ha, excursión casi obligatoria para los que visitan cancun o rivera maya. Se trata de un porque con un gran lago para por hacer snorkel y disfrutar de buenos restaurantes. Se puede también nadar con delfines.
Ha Long Bay was first listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994, in recognition of its outstanding, universal aesthetic value. In 2000 the World Heritage Committee additionally recognised Ha Long Bay for its outstanding geological and geomorphological value, and its World Heritage Listing was updated.

Within the small village of people that live within the bay. They have a quiet life of creating and creating pearls, fishing ..
