It's incredible how the people from Cuba find ways for getting a few coins for survival. This woman told me her name but was rather silent otherwise. I think that she had somehow "lost her head", a lone old woman who was dancing a sort of clumsy salsa out of the perimetre reserved for the customers as a life band was performing in this café, Plaza Vieja in Old Havana.

What lies behind all these wrinckles and this sad, tired, - tragic look ? H. agreed for the photo, unable to smile.

This was after we had danced together and after I gave her some money (of course - out of sympathy for her and not for the shot : I never pay just for photographying people, but she was there also to ask discreetly and silently for help - did not stay long enough to see if she was getting much from the tourists though).
