I feel guilty at times that I only walked out my door and across the street for this shot. But I've come to trust that I must put beauty in my own life If I want to share it with a world that could use some.
Pushing the orange/brown in post gave it a wonderful golden toast-a-poppin' tone, just the feeling you get when the sun breaks the flat desert to the east and projects onto these mountains the most brilliant morning colors. This is REAL old-skool big-screen TV!

When I have gone to Heather Farms in Walnut Creek in the past, this Red-shouldered
Hawk, or one that looks like it, never gives me a chance to raise my camera before it takes off. This day I spent, probably over two hours, as it repeatedly posed from tree to tree with me getting within a few feet of it and never looking at me. I finally, feeling 'a bit guilty' of possibly interfering with it's hunt, I decided to leave before getting my flight shot! Okay, I think it looked once and flew over my head!!...lol

I feel guilty for eating the sugar, guilty for eating my kids' candy... but I LOVE peeps! I took this while playing around with my prism to give that flare.
I am guilty of having a sweet tooth...maybe teeth. So every once in a while you may spot me filling up on all of these delicious cakes around town. We all have our favorites and I am known to enjoy every last bite of a szarlotka when its on the table, but now and then I fancy another taste...and here at Cukier Puder they satisfy the need for it with awesome cheesecake and dacquoise. Sold.

I find stone walls amazing. The labour involved in building these walls, which are spread far and wide, is/was incredible. There is quite a bit of work for someone to put this right.

A very recent trip to Hookney Tor was a wet one but so dramatic and kind of sums up Dartmoor for me. This was the first shot I took that evening as the driving rain mixed with some lovely late golden light flooding Kestor Rock and Cosdon Hill behind. I liked the amber layers in the scene.
