Some of the best photos from mountain biking down the World's Most Dangerous Road in Bolivia (Also known as Bolivia's Death Road) with Gravity Assisted Mountain Biking (www.gravitybolivia.com).
On the left is some notes on what each area is. If I'm staring at Area 3 on the world map, I can refer to this and say "Oh yeah, it's the killer plants one with the stupid spikes at the end."
On the right is my path for beating the game casually. A world-record-chasing speedrunner omits Area 1 because he doesn't need the silly energy recovery. In casual BC, I find it very useful.

Although there is no information at all with this print, it might well be a dramatic presentation by local Guides/Brownies. The fact that so many of them were carrying branches might be to represent a forest.

Scooter tour in Florence. On the Ponte all Grazie, the driver had stopped to organise the convoy behind the Fiat 500 and is just about to proceed.
About The Series: The focal press guides, usually but not always written by the indefatigable W. D. Emanuel are a treasure trove for collectors of cameras. Not for the sections on how to use individual cameras (which do, however contain a great deal of good sense) but for the descriptions of different models. They are the first source to go to if you want to know the difference between (for example) an Ensign Selfix 16/20 Model I and an Ensign Selfix Model II or how many elements the Trinar lens in your Regula camera has

The case is closed. Five years ago, schoolgirl Andie Bell was murdered by Sal Singh. The police know he did it. Everyone in town knows he did it.But having grown up in the same small town that was consumed by the murder, Pippa Fitz-Amobi isn't so sure. When she chooses the case as the topic for her final year project, she starts to uncover secrets that someone in town desperately wants to stay hidden. And if the real killer is still out there, how far will they go to keep Pip from the truth?
I have taken three of the “Beijing Seat in Coach” package tours from www.tour-beijing.com/coach_tours/ and can highly recommend them. The air-conditioned busses were great; the meals included have been very good overall, and the tour-guides knowledgeable and friendly.
To my great surprise on this occasion, instead of a bus picking us up at the hotel, there was a private car with driver and our tour guide, Barbara!
When we booked the Mutianyu Great Wall tour, I chose it on the basis that it was less popular and had fewer tourists, thus a better opportunity for me to get “tourist free” photos… and less of the crowds and noise one usually experiences at most Chinese tourist attractions.
We were the only ones who had booked the tour that day so we got the VIP treatment. There was some pressure to “up-sell” us to include the Ming Tombs, which were not included in the original package, and I gladly accepted due to the nature of this more private tour which gave us more time to explore at the Great Wall rather then being part of a heard of tourists. In this case, the Great Wall was almost deserted and as a result, a very enjoyable experience.
The day went very well with Barbara entertaining us in the car recounting details of the history and culture of the various places we were visiting. The lunch she arranged was very good and served to us in our own private dining room!
The whole experience was rather pleasant and special until we got back to the hotel… when Barbara demanded a tip for herself and the driver. I pointed out that tipping was not customary or expected in China and was voluntary… she insisted that tipping was expected of foreigners and was quite aggressive about it… so I gave them Y20 each which she obviously felt was inadequate. This left a sour note to the end of an otherwise wonderful day as none of the previous tour guides from this company had even hinted at a tip and tipping is not expected or encouraged in Chinese culture where foreigners are usually considered as guests in the country to be treated in the same way as one would treat guests in one’s home.
