For "Smile on Saturday" ; theme : "guessing game".
Most of you saw "the Light"(bulb) correctly ! It was the bottom view of a LED bulb .

As a hint, it is a set of three, with the white one being the smallest.
End-of-day update: Thanks for your guesses. I just got these and haven't tried them yet -- they are reusable fruit-savers. They stretch over cut fruit (like half an apple) so you don't need to use cling wrap. Also good for veggies, I'm sure.

The theme for “Smile on Saturday” for the 1st of March is a “guessing game”, where to meet the theme, I am required to photograph something in such a way that it is not obvious what the subject of the image really is. The object must be an ordinary item that anyone can identify if a bigger picture is shown of it. I am also not permitted to give information or clues about the subject of the photo in the tags or the description of the photo. Therefore, this week’s image really is a mystery… at least for now. So, what is this? Can you work out what it is? Make your guesses as a comment below, and I will reveal what this is and answer your question after the group closes for the week!

I can't tell if this is a hard one or not! Only the wooden object is part of the mystery.

First attempt at capturing the Northern Lights on film (Actually at all, this was the first time I saw them). Kind of a guessing game, and they were on the horizon more than overhead. Shot in South-Central Saskatchewan, November 2021.

In the beginning of the year 2009 I started here with a guessing game ... now I will finish the year with a guessing game as well.
It was a cold winter day but the weather was beautiful, the sun was shining and the sky was blue. The light was nice during my walk so that the snow and ice were sparkling like jewellery and diamond.
I know you are all very creative ... which formation do you explore in the ice? I think you will not see a city or building but may be a flower, people, a face or even Mickey Mouse .... I see a barking dog ;-) ....
Suchspiel: Was entdeckt ihr im Eis?
Es war ein kalter Tag, aber das Wetter war sehr schön, die Sonne schien und der Himmel war blau. Das Licht war gut bei meinem Spaziergang, so dass der Schnee und das Eis glitzerte wie Diamanten und Juwelen.
Ihr seid doch alle sehr kreativ .... was seht ihr in dem Eis? Ich denke kaum eine Stadt oder ein Haus, aber vielleicht einen Mensch, ein Gesicht, eine Blume oder sogar Mickey Maus ... ich sehe einen bellenden Hund ... muss meinen Kopf dafür nach links neigen ;-))

Smile on Saturday: Guessing game
Update: What a fun day -- so many mysterious photos! Mine is of the focus controller on a pair of birding binoculars.

The rules say we’re not to divulge what the object is until the pool closes on Saturday.

There are 6 of these in the photostream. I’ll do the reveal for all of them, below, once the group pool closes.
REVEAL: this is the top of a bottle of generic Advil. The cog-like design is to help the person open the bottle more easily. Obviously, it should not be used in a household with small children as it is not child-safe.
For next Saturday, March 1, 2025 you have to take a picture of something in such a way that it's NOT obvious what the subject of your image really is, and the other members of the group can guess what it is (we already did this kind of theme in September 2020). I've called it "GUESSING GAME".
A FEW RULES:
-use "What is this?" as the title of your image.
-do NOT give information about the 'subject' in the tags and the description.
-after the closing of the group on Saturday evening you can tell us all about the object on your photo and/or give a link to a more clarifying image.
-try to guess what was captured in as many photos of other members as
possible.
Please be creative and... don't make it too easy for us to guess what it is...
The resolution: The picture shows a sea ball on a pebble beach in Port Pollença. Sea balls are made out of the fibers of sea weed which are formed by the water movement.
