The Norseman is planned to be painted in a Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) scheme, though it never actually served in the RCAF. The museum aims to maintain the aircraft in airworthy condition, and the RCAF livery is part of their mandate. The aircraft was previously owned by various entities, including Canadian Forest Products Ltd. and Huron Air and Outfitters, before being acquired by the museum in 2014.
