as you can see, little bear is growing up nicely ... we see him come through the yard once or twice a week now which we are happy about .. he is out in the bush making his way in life:-) when he comes into the yard we let Toby out onto the deck(it's closed off) and the barking and growling sends little bear back into the bush ... a safer place for little bear...

I finally picked up a copy of this wonderful book by Gayla Trail. I'm going to grow and nurture life (I know!) at my new place this spring/summer and want to learn to maintain my own small pots and gardens throughout the year. Rosemary and Hibiscus, oh my! I can't wait! Thank you, Gayla, you're quite the talent and inspiration :).
Oh yeah, and you should visit the site too! It's pretty darn neat, I tell ya, and endlessly helpful. Way to go, gardening! And hurry up, Spring!
On the morning of Tuesday, October 21, 2008 an event with Barack Obama was hosted at the Lake Worth Campus of Palm Beach Community College in the Elizabeth W. Erling Gymnasium.
Instead of the expected Obama Rally, the stage was set for a round table discussion. When Barack Obama took the stage, he spoke for about 10 minutes, proposing a job tax credit for each new employee hired by American businesses, eliminating capital gains taxes for small businesses, rebuilding the nation's infrastructure, rebuilding a "broke" health-care system, creating a world-class education system and investing in renewable energy. Then Obama explained the bi-partisan panel we were about to witness and introduced the participants... right to left... Governor of Colorado Bill Ritter, CEO of Google Eric Schmidt, Governor of Ohio Ted Strickland, owner of South Florida-based Victoria & Associates Victoria Villalba, former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volker, the Governor of Michigan Jennifer Granholm and last but certainly not least the Governor of New Mexico Bill Richardson.
Barack Obama called for five million new jobs to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, help rebuild the country's infrastructure and in the process help to save our planet.
