KURUM'ART contemporaryではShonandai Projectの第2弾として3月12日（火）から3月17日（日）迄、Shonandai MY Galleryにおいて「鮮やかに...展」を開催致します。今回の展示は既に自分の道をしっかりと歩み出しており、色彩の美しさが印象的な、青木恵美子、冨本七絵、中村眞弥子の3人の作品です。色彩の美しさと共に、それぞれの表現の強さを感じていただければ幸いです。尚、初日3月12日（火）17時よりオープニングレセプションを開催致しますので、どうぞお誘い合わせの上ご参加下さい。
以下各作家のステートメントです。
青木恵美子
どこか不純な現実に対して、純粋無垢な世界が見てみたい。それが私の制作の動機です。頭の中にきらきらする＜純粋無垢＞は、肉体と感情の限界を超えたある種のカオスとして現れてきます。そうしたカオスを根底ないし背景として、私の作品は他者や外部を取り込みつつ、常に変化しつづけるものであって欲しい。豊饒かつ澄明な色の広がりに＜生命＞を感じることで、日常の奥にあるイデアルな世界と向き合うきっかけが生まれたら、それはどんなに素敵なことかと思うのです。

植物たちは水を吸いあげて、命をはきだす、
その命はまた水になり、めぐっていく。
私の作品の風景は、その”循環”を体現してくれるものたちです。
生命の循環とともに季節もまた、その順番を間違えることなくめぐっていきます。
水といきものたちが形づくる、季節を描きたいと考えています。
中村眞弥子
からだの感じる空間のさかいめ。
あたまの知っている実在の印象。
こころの求めている普遍的なかたちを。
言葉にならないものたちだけど
そこに在ることを感じていられるような。
そんなわたしの日常をなぞっています。

We are pleased to announce that the traveling exhibition “ The Act of Painting” will run from 26th August - 13th September at Gallery Valeur (Nagoya, Aichi) and 16th- 30th September in Casa Sakanoue (Yokohama, Kanagawa.) The group “The Act of Painting” formed in Maastricht, The Netherlands, have been successful with two shows in TETEM, Enschede and TAC Eindhoven, The Netherlands. In the future, exhibits are planned in art spaces in Berlin, Stockholm, Helsinki and Istanbul. The artists create their works in abstract forms, their expressions especially engaged with their behaviors. We hope the viewers will enjoy the cultural backgrounds of each piece and their method of abstraction.
この度 The Act of Painting の 巡回展を ギャラリーヴァルール (愛知・名古屋市名東区) にて 2014年8月26日 (火) から 9月13日 (土) 。Casaさかのうえ (神奈川・横浜市港北区) にて 2014年9月16日 (火) から 9月30日 (火) まで 開催させていただく運びとなりました。
The Act of Painting は オランダ・マーストリヒトを中心に活動、オランダ国内各都市で巡回展を開催しているアーティストグループです。今後はベルリン、ヘルシンキ、イスタンブールなどヨーロッパ各都市でも展覧会を予定しています。身体性をともなった抽象表現や 意識と無意識の間を行き来する心の動きをみつめながら制作活動を続けている美術作家たちの 文化背景にも触れながら お楽しみいただける展覧会です。

Before I Die I Want To...is collaborative Project by KS Rives and Nicole Kenney. It was inspired by a combination of factors: (1) the "death" of the Polaroid, (2) a passion to inspire people to think about and act upon what is truly important in their lives through this simple question and (3) a psychologist's tool called "safety contracts". KS and Nicole take portraits of individuals saying what they want to do before they die, getting them in the act of stating their desire. The subjects then write this desire in their own handwriting on the Polaroid. Visit beforeidieiwantto.org for more on this Polaroid series.

AND GO FAST.
Brown line, red line, and sometimes pink. A short, eight-month stay in Chicago is equal to about $1,000 in transit fare. Long nights led to running to the statuion just in time to realize you’ve missed the last train out of Belmont. Walking two miles in the snow isn’t fun. Pick up your bags, take a cab. Another $12. Everyone is always moving in this city. Eyes always open, even when napping in the morning commute.
As we move in and out, weaving back and forth through the tiny and croweded streets of Chicago, the luggage we carry gets worn. Body, slow down, brain, keep moving.
I saved every transit ticket, every 30 Day Pass, every One Day “Fun” Pass. I took busses not knowing where they lead. I just knew I had to go in that direction. I rode trains into places I should not have been at times when the only people who ride them are those who think they are two.
We are still going, always moving, faster. We are luggage opening and closing, packed until it barely closes, until it’s falling apart.
My coat , "21st Century Fusion," is currently on display alongside my cereal box cardboard boot spats at the "Trash To Treasure X" group show at the Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond-- around 25 miles SE of Chicago city limits.
There are many wonderful things shown with a wide variety of artist talents in this group show. Art and crafts are made from recycled / found materials.
The show is up until July 09, 2010.

On Saturday, July 14th, GO Gallery opens the exhibition Inside - Outside.
This exhibition shows what a few foreign artists think about Holland and Amsterdam in particular. The Dutch Cheese maiden, Red light district, Maxi...ma, Dutch haring, soft drugs, wooden shoes, canals, tulips, Beatrix, Gaypride, Dutch windmills, de BIG 5: Rembrandt van Rijn, Vincent van Gogh, Johannes Vermeer, Jan Steen, Frans Hals and other Dutch and Amsterdam stereotypes will be pictured in the artworks.
I curated this group show back in January, and finally got to uploading photos.
It was on display from January 16 - 30, 2009 at Kaleid Gallery in San Jose... so if ya snoozed, ya losed, pal!
