Groundwork Lawrence Earth Day is a city-wide cleanup event that happens every year. Held virtually over the last two years, we are excited that, once again, it will be an in-person event!! Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help out as are businesses, schools, non-profits, and community organizations.

Romblon, an archipelagic province known for its marble industry, is now laying the groundwork for the
renewable energy shift in the Philippines.
The Romblon Electric Cooperative (ROMELCO) has been powering their community with renewables since 2009. Serving the province’s capital, the municipality of Romblon, together with Sibuyan Island and other island barangays, the cooperative has explored the potentials of hydro, solar, wind, and biomass sources for the pass decade. Two Ten Foundation Day of Service

150 employees from New Balance, Clarks, Puma, Converse, and ShoeBuy.com came to Lawrence for the day to work on service projects at Den Rock Park, Jacques Pond, the Greater Lawrence Boating Program, Lawrence History Center and in other parks around the city.
· The group did an amazing job planting bulbs, blazing trails at Den Rock, raking leaves, pulling invasive plants at Jacques Pond, moving historic documents and picking up litter.
· Each year GWL manages multiple service events in the City in partnership with local schools, businesses and nonprofits. Our next volunteer event will be to celebrate Earth Day next April!
