Out back on the deck.....
And speaking of decks, after many years I found it's not a deck at all, but a veranda, since it's totally covered by the roof of the house..
Tho we still call it a deck.
Neue Pinakothek, München
"Today’s Neue Pinakothek opened its doors in 1981 and replaces the previous building dating back to 1853 that was destroyed in the Second World War. Ludwig I. had commissioned the construction, which was designed by Friedrich Gärtner und August Voit and to stand on the site opposite the Alte Pinakothek, as a gallery for his collection of contemporary painting. His vision was to facilitate a dialogue between the art of his day and the Old Masters, who were seen as role models. Whereas Leo von Klenze’s Alte Pinakothek was rebuilt by Hans Döllgast after the Second World War, the ruins of the Neue Pinakothek were demolished and replaced by a modern, new building in accordance with the plans of Alexander von Branca, which incorporated not only the gallery of the Neue Pinakothek but also the administration of the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen and the Doerner Institute. The exterior of Branca’s Neue Pinakothek was sometimes criticized because of the striking references to historical form and style elements. However, the interior is undisputedly regarded as one of the best museum buildings of the post-war period in Germany thanks to the richly varied sequence of outstandingly well lit rooms oriented to meet the requirements of the works on display."
"On 31 December 2018 the Neue Pinakothek will close to the public for structural reasons and in preparation for a comprehensive renovation scheme. A selection of masterpieces of 19th-century art will be shown from the summer of 2019 onwards on the groundfloor of the Alte Pinakothek (East Wing) and in the Sammlung Schack."

On the rooftop terrace of the Reichstag building with the Reichstag dome - which has always reminded me of a beehive - at the center. The new Reichstag dome, designed by Norman Foster in 1993 (with the inclusion of a design by Gottfried Böhm: the spiraling staircase that allows visitors to climb up to the - open - top of the cupola), is one of Berlin's best-known landmarks and is visited by more than two million people each year. The dome was designed environmentally-friendly, with a cone at the center that directs sunlight into the debating hall of the Bundestag, the German Parliament, on the groundfloor; vistors can also see the debating chamber from the dome. I will write some more about the dome's design and also the eventful history of the Reichstag building for my next upload which, consequently, will be an image taken inside of the dome. So stay tuned, dear Flickr friends.

When he designed the Villa Cavrois, Mallet-Stevens designed all the interior decoration up to the smallest mobilie element. In this room, all the furniture has been re-manufactured and painted in the original range. Most of the furniture in the villa was sold at auction.
The CdMN is committing a strong energy to redeem them.
One of the most charming medieval churches in the Gemer region is preserved in the village of Chyžné, near Jelšava. Its tall east-oriented brick gable and massive fortifications around the church dominates its surroundings. The church was built in the second half of the 13th century as a one-nave edifice with a quadratic chancel and an annexed sacristy. Later, a detached belltower, a traditional wooden construction from the 18th century, and a groundfloor building of a former school were added. The church chancel is vaulted by a cross ribbed vault, and the nave has a flat painted ceiling. The walls and vaults of the chancel, including the so-called Triumphal Arch, are covered with frescos dating back to the 70s-80s of the 14th century.
After seeing the upper part of the ship sailing through the bushes, I hurried down to the Kiel Canal and the cargo ship glided by a few meters away.

It was one of the Alexandrian holy Trinity (Serapis - Isis - Harpocrates).

Our Oscar Niemeyer Museum has a huge open space on its ground floor. Felipe loves to run, run, run in that space. Then he visits the exhibitions and is captivated by every detail. It's wonderful to watch him.

Almost all entrances(doors) are half a floor higher than the street. On the groundfloor nowadays are very often also people living .Hollyhocks and other flowers at the entrance are also typical.

I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing...

The Riverside Riverwalk provides the setting for this composition. Here I emphasized light and dark values. The egret is not as sharp as I wanted it to be, but what matters is what the egret is doing.
