I wanted to shoot that dead tree covered in moss but I couldn't find a comp that wasn't full of deadfall. As I walked away I spotted this shot between the 2 trees that I liked. Bea said it looks like the Grinch. 3 shot focus blend. Vlog Below.

I saw the new Grinch movie this past weekend and didn’t care for it. They didn’t use the narration from the original story and the actor’s voice did not suit him. They shouldn’t have messed with perfection, the original Dr. Seuss cartoon and the wonderful Jim Carey movie. I think Dr. Sinister would have done a better job! LOL

While doing some back country exploring I came across this Sasquatch, a 7 or 8 foot ape-like creature lurking about in a disguise. Seems to me I've seen him before stumbling around in the same area carrying a case of Kokanee beer.
A few years ago there was a beer commercial here in Canada where the mythical creature Sasquatch was carrying a case of Kokanee beer through the forest. This Sasquatch statue is a land mark just east of Osoyoos British Columbia on the Crowsnest Highway. It's very tall and this year someone has dressed it up in a Grinch costume for the Christmas season. Sometimes while in the area we will see it with a Kokanee beer can or a case of Kokanee beer in it's hand and of course they are always empty.

Last weekend, we attended a small community non- motorized Christmas parade. It lasted all of 10 minutes in one direction down the road and then back again. But it was packed with joyful participants and engaging spectators. Each year we take pictures for their community records. Although I take several images showing the groups and individuals, I also tried to take a few images showing the “mood” of the parade. Even this Grinch couldn’t help but spread cheer to the crowd. Don’t let the Grinch steal your Christmas mood this season! Sometimes just a simple connection to a caring community can make a difference.
