I give you the new Grinch, our resident red squirrel, Dr. Sinister! He loaded up his sled with stolen peanuts and rode back up to Mount Crumpet!

I saw the new Grinch movie this past weekend and didn’t care for it. They didn’t use the narration from the original story and the actor’s voice did not suit him. They shouldn’t have messed with perfection, the original Dr. Seuss cartoon and the wonderful Jim Carey movie. I think Dr. Sinister would have done a better job! LOL

Last weekend, we attended a small community non- motorized Christmas parade. It lasted all of 10 minutes in one direction down the road and then back again. But it was packed with joyful participants and engaging spectators. Each year we take pictures for their community records. Although I take several images showing the groups and individuals, I also tried to take a few images showing the “mood” of the parade. Even this Grinch couldn’t help but spread cheer to the crowd. Don’t let the Grinch steal your Christmas mood this season! Sometimes just a simple connection to a caring community can make a difference.

This year I decided to make a house from "The Grinch". ( my rendition of Cindy Lou Who's house, with the help of my husbands construction skills ). After lots of stress and re-makes and re-bakes..Here is the completed project. It was my most challenging one yet.
