This Sulphur Crested Cockatoo was sitting right at the top of our Scanner Antenna and having a little chew on it, I move towards him, and he took off in a hurry and this is what I got.

In the spotlight from left to right are Hield House farm, Force Garth quarry a little further away with East and West Force Garth Farms to the right of it, and most of Ettersgill at the right of the picture. Foreground brightness, some interesting patterns and reflections on the lake, a couple of areas of cloud inversion in the distance and a small patch of sunshine on the side of Cross Fell.
The rolling border hills sandwiched between evening shadows. Soon cloud shadow and hill shadow will become one.
The view from Erie Hill looking towards Gameshope Glen. I've been up Erie Hill more times than I've had hot dinners but this is the first time I have watched a sunset from my border friend.

It looked very stormy, and I thought we were in for a nasty storm. sadly no, it just went around us.

A fleeting patch of sunshine lights up Mickleton very briefly under a dramatic sky on a squally and blustery day.
I caught this as I was leaving. I had a tough time deciding which one to choose for today's shot. This is the first time I am actually happy with a silhouette shot. This is pretty much how our day looked like today, grey and ominous.
The inner harbour at Cuitadella with storm clouds gathering in the background. They never actually came to anything, just a light shower , and then moved to become a beautiful bright evening. Still it makes for a dramatic skyline 😊
The best spot on the on the lake for all of nature's offerings. Beavers are denned up, geese and ducks are spotted in the far distance. Swans are curiously absent today from their favorite corner of the lake.
Seemed like there was a lot of color changing yet to happen, but so unpredictable. It seemed like the colors started changing early, slowed and then went into a bit of a out-of-sync, segmented and prolonged progression.
