We celebrated Earth Day at the Green Living Festival in Novato, where our Green Change team hosted a booth and gave a workshop on climate action.
Green Change director Fabrice Florin took photos of people who pledged to take climate action, asking them to write their pledge in big letters, hold up their sign and have their picture taken against our 6-foot earth globe.
Dozens of participants committed to a wide range of climate actions, from driving electric vehicles to eating less meat, walking more, using less plastic and many more pledges to help fight climate change in their own lives and communities.
It was inspiring to see all the diverse actions that our new friends plan to take this year. It gave us hope that if everyone does their part, we can solve the global climate crisis together.
Many thanks to Gretchen Schubeck and the City of Novato for hosting this event, as well as to our amazing Green Change team: Tom Flynn, Al Grumet, Ilse Gonzalez, Kelly Horner, Marilyn Price and Silke Valentine.
This was our team's first public event this season, and we were energized to meet so many people who were ready to go green with us. Change is coming.

Enjoy this video of our Earth Bike at the Fairfax Parade 2024. Green Change director Fabrice Florin presented his unique parade float to invite thousands of attendees to go green and protect nature.
The Earth Bike features our beautiful planet pulled by an e-bike, as a symbol of the climate actions we need to take in our own lives. As he rode through downtown Fairfax, Fabrice told the audience that Mother Earth is getting hot and needs their help to cool it down: “She invites you to go green and live sustainably.”
After the parade, we brought the Earth Bike to the Ecofest ballpark, where we hosted the Green Change exhibit, with fun activities for all ages: Green Pledges, Anytown USA, and Human Triangle.
These playful activities helped visitors learn about sustainable living, clean energy, electric vehicles, green homes, healthy food, and resilient communities. Dozens of participants pledged to take climate action this year -- and had their photo taken in front of our big earth globe.
Kudos to our energetic team of Green Change volunteers: Fabrice Florin, Bridget Mazzini, Gianni La Carrubba, Geo Monley, Sage Davis and Tom Flynn hosted our exhibit, with logistical support by Phyllis Florin and Michelle Sixta.
Our traveling exhibit is sponsored by the County of Marin, MCE, and the Marin Community Foundation. We’re also grateful to the Fairfax Festival & Ecofest organizers, including Allison Ritter Fitzpatrick and Merrell Maschino, for hosting us this year.
Many thanks to all our volunteers, partners, supporters and friends for making this exhibit possible, so we could inspire more people to take climate action!

Enjoy this video memory of our Green Change exhibit at the Fairfax Festival & Ecofest 2024. We first rode our Earth Bike in the downtown parade – then hosted fun activities in the ballpark.
We welcomed hundreds of visitors of all ages at the Ecofest. They enjoyed playing Anytown USA, creating a sustainable town in a fast-paced search for climate solutions. And our Human Triangle game was a big hit, challenging players to work with each other to move the earth to a better place.
Dozens of participants were inspired to make a Green Pledge to help cool the earth -- and we took their photo in front of our big earth globe. They pledged to get EVs, ebikes, heat pumps, induction cooktops, as well as save energy and water, use less plastic and protect nature, among others.
Our unique mix of playful activities and practical tips invited more people to go green and build a better world. As a result, we had many productive conversations about climate action, helping folks learn more about sustainable living, clean energy, green homes and reducing our carbon emissions.

Enjoy this photo of Earth Day Mill Valley, our free community event at the Mill Valley Community Center on Sunday, April 21, 2024, from 11am to 2pm.
Earth Day Mill Valley featured fun activities for all ages, climate action exhibits, art. music -- and free ice cream! Over 50 green booths engaged visitors to help build a more just and sustainable world. Participants learned to live sustainably, use clean energy and transportation, green up their homes and gardens, eat healthy food, protect nature, and build resilient communities.
Thanks to all our photographers and videographers who took these pictures of our event! They include: Stuart Bass, Fabrice Florin, Sofia Fernandez Hernandez, Daniel Jacob, Kevin Morrison and Michael Wanger. Their images were edited by Green Change director Fabrice Florin, to help give a sense of what our event was like, as well as promote the work of our partners, and the many climate actions presented at the event.
Kudos to our partners at Mill Valley Recreation for organizing this great event – and to our Green Change team and volunteers for supporting our work and hosting our Climate Action Center. Special thanks to our exhibit sponsors, including the County of Marin, Good Earth, MCE and Marin Community Foundation.
We hope they will inspire you to take action in your own life to protect our future and build a more just and sustainable world. See you next year!
