Green Line DAF / Plaxton R201 VPU is seen here passing through St Albans in September 2001. These DAF's operated for a number of years on this Green Line service before cascading to local services when replaced by Mercedes Citaros in 2006.

Combining my feeble memory of what I was told with what I've just looked up on Wikipedia, I think this is a toucanet. They are native to southern Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.

This one was proud of its feathers; it did a lot of posing for us!

Green beans with a sesame dressing - another simple but tasty recipe from Everyday Harumi. I recently got a suribachi (Japanese mortar and pestle) to grind sesame seeds. Also, hooray for Daylight Savings: more natural lighting in the evening for photography.

It's the first day of September 2009 already. Can you believe it? I offer a view of the Landscape in Canyonlands National Park - Island in the Sky.

I've reprocessed this shot about 4 times and I thnk I'm finally happy with it. The Green River Overlook is one of the best sunset locations in Canyonlands. I didn't have any clouds that day, but the landscape was still amazing. I must go back now. This was shot at dusk in winter.

I'm always whining about eating my green salad.

From I was a kid I didn't really like it but looks so good in the picture :)

Green Woodpecker keeps watch.

Waiting for my ride in Hachinohe, I found a little coffee shop. Got myself a green tea latte and a pumpkin pie slice, pretty good actually.

Just a boring pic to show off Desideria's new body.

The new Supia body is much more elegant than the Luts one and corsets look much better on it too. I love it! <3

Supia resin is much pinker than I hoped though. Oh well, now I'm actually glad that there's so much blush on her face. XD

The corset was made by my mum (according to my pattern). <3

Facing towards Piccadilly from the Buckingham Palace end of Green Park.

Frustrated by a lack of appropriate backdrops for my fantasy compositions I decided to shoot an up-angle using the sky itself as a background. The slight-fish-eye, forced-perspective produced by an Opteka wide-angle lens attached to the 18-55mm kit lens opened wide is my (feeble?) attempt to reproduce the over-the-top, primeval power and suggestiveness that I find so attractive in a Frazetta painting or a Richard Corben illustration. Tech: the camera is mounted on a tripod and fired with a remote set on 2 second delay to allow me to pose and also to conceal the remote. Green skin is a hue adjustment; I kicked up the blacks using levels (new trick Khan1066 showed me), added a bit of diffuse glow to stir up the sky and darkened everything to hide unwanted detail (glasses, jeans...). I'm pretty happy with it--especially by the way I was able to downplay the "spare tire" while allowing the last vestages of my flirtations with weight-lifting to come through, all by fine-tuning the shadows. I will probably be removing wires and the part of the house visible in lower-right corner before I consider it "finished." Fresh after criticizing Khan1066's newfound interest in textures I'm also thinking about being a complete two-faced hypocrit and introducing a parchment texture to the sky. Too much? What about using a layer effect + red diffuse glow to set the eyes of the serpent staff (excellent prop bought at a bargain-basement price from the Halloween Store!) 'afire?

Johanna, Lotta and I went to a café this afternoon with some of her friends, and I really wanted to take some pictures to upload to Flickr. But what do you take pictures of when you're out and about with people? Right, you take pictures of those people.

Since I didn't want to ulpoad any of their pictures here without asking them, I chose this one.
