Like most of my trips to Detroit, I break up the ride into Detroit proper with a stopover in Dearborn (in college, I had free access).
It's a weird place, since it's combination of Henry Ford's mental image of what he wanted a small Eastern US town to be like, with a bunch of random other places relocated and enshrined there (The Wright Brother's Shop from Ohio, Edison labs from NJ and Florida...)
