The Sky was almost merging with the sea, one could hardly make out the horizon, in the middle of all this: A green glowing buoy.
My last shot of Arriva Kent & Surrey 5926 (P926 MKL), seen here on Saturday 18th October 2014 doing University of Surrey open day work.
Arriva were coming off their Green Bus routes (PT3 and PT4) on Friday 24th October, but 5926 was withdrawn early (Tuesday 21st) due to its MOT expiring.
In the end, Arriva carried on running the Green Bus contracts after half term (3rd November), but 5926 never made it back into service.
Its gearbox lives on in Olympian 5932.

Another shot from after the marathon. I've really started to notice all the Vespas all over the city.
Having some fun with some editing techniques for that cartoon like affect. I started with Joel Grimes and his blur effect but never could quite get the look I wanted. I think it helps that most of his images are quite a bit darker. This technique of noise reduction and high pass filter to bring back a little detail is exactly what I'm looking for. I love trying on others Photoshop techniques to see if they fit my workflow. I like some bits and pieces and make them my own for my unique look in images. It's always evolving and changing. Adding a bit of salt here and bit of pepper there. This shot is all natural light.

Sea Green Defiance: Summer might be over, but the sparkle didn’t get the memo. A quick Halloween session turned into a farewell to warm days, part tease, part defiance, all attitude.

Since a cold was flirtling with me all day yesterday - tried hard to keep my chin up! -causing ugly headacahe, inabitlity to concertrate and tireness, setting the table for dinner and preparing it was the most creative part of the day. Sad but true.
Green salad is full with vitamin C, so some fresh came form the grocery store, hoping to give my organism a positive boost...and it did....I have today to completely recover, as we are leaving for a short trip, on a long weekend tomorrow...and the sun will be coming out in this part of the world! Yay : )!

I really don't know what's going on... I've been using all these vivid(?) colors as of late... It's probably the distortion of the bokeh which makes me so "artistic"...
El Golfo - The green Lake. Bacteria in the water has turned this lake a shade of green.
This is a natural amphitheater which is open towards the sea, and was formed by a volcanic eruption in 1730. The lagoon that fills the bottom of the semicircle-shaped crater, is a result of floods, and the green color is from algae that live in the lagoon. This lake has been declared a nature reserve, and it is therefore swimming is not permitted here. El Golfo is located in the southern part of the Lanzarote in the municipality of Yaiza.
On the way up to the lake from the village there are tables where you can buy green rocks containing the mineral olivine. It is this together with the algae that gives the water the spectacular green color it has.
Similar to a shot posted in December. In this shot if you look very carefully you can see a person in a red top at the very far end of the lake.
A slight HDR treatment has been applied to this photo. NOt everyone's cup of tea I know, but I prefered it that way on this shot.

For this second fictional member of the now-departed Green Bus fleet, I've chosen another double-decker of advanced design, namely the BMMO D9. Very few of these operator-built buses saw further service, perhaps because of the advanced design and concerns over the availability of spare parts. That said, Green Bus Services clearly had more than a passing interest in classis vehicles and it is possible that the company had in its employment somebody with engineering knowledge of the D9. Or perhaps the image simply depicts a preserved vehicle turned out in GBS livery? (09-Oct-10).
