This is Idaho’s Lost River Range, home to some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the American West. When the light aligns, the landscape transforms into something truly extraordinary.
Stretching nearly 80 miles, the Lost River Range is a collection of towering peaks, rugged ridgelines, and immense vertical relief. Because the highway passes so close to the base of these mountains, their scale feels almost surreal. Rising abruptly from the valley floor, they appear larger than life—massive stone monuments that dominate the horizon. Standing among them often feels like stepping into a scene from The Lord of the Rings.
I’m grateful for every opportunity to explore and photograph places like this. Thank you for taking the time to look and for sharing your thoughts.

Widely observable in the rolling hills of Tuscany we discovered two of the ugliest concrete blocks we have ever explored. But never judge a book by its cover! This old ruin is actually filled with left behind furniture and natural decay. It’s this combination that made us fall in love with urban exploration in the first place! To experience some amazing sights and to learn the full story, make sure to watch our adventure report:

Thanks to my guest and friend:
Mr Dick Collins.
I have been very lucky! This image went to 1.3 million views on Google over this last 2 days, breaking my previous record.!!
We had a great time in Ecuador this past January! Thanks to Dick for helping me with the set-up of this shot and for finding the perch. The creative process and also working with nature in a "kind and respectful way" is the key to success.
Most of all, study, and understanding of real nature. Knowing what these birds and animals need for survival, and how we can best support them. Capturing the beauty is my fun, even more fun to share these incredible creatures with so many people who do not have a chance to go see for themselves.
Photographers need to respect. Stand back, and allow things to happen, then be ready to capture the shot. It takes tenacity, and patience. Working hard for a shot is really worth the effort!
Thanks to you for viewing and sharing my images!!
So much appreciated!
My next Ecuador tour is set for November 2015.

Got this custom minifig a few days ago, wasn't entirely sure what to do with him so just played around with lighting him, I wanted it to look as though the light was purley emanating from the gun.
#6 in my series FREEDOM GREEN for the Iranian flickr community and the people of Iran. A friend in Iran asked me to dedicate this photo as follows:
“I hope this will be a green movement in every aspect of life, not just political. Please dedicate this to all the young and old, men and women of Iran who fight for freedom by bravely standing in the streets in opposition to the shameless, horrible guards and hardliners. What people in Iran really want is peace, freedom, truth, wisdom and a better future.”
My friend also provided the following poem by the 12th century Iranian poet, Saadi:
The Children of Adam are limbs of each other
Having been created of one essence.
When the calamity of time afflicts one limb
The other limbs cannot remain at rest.
If thou hast no sympathy for the troubles of others
Thou art unworthy to be called by the name of a man.
Photograph: In Iran, the garden is a sanctuary - a place for relaxation, contemplation, and enjoyment of nature and all things green. In desert towns, water for maintaining the garden and for use in the home, was supplied by an ingenious system of underground water tunnels (qanats) that transported water from the higher mountains to the dessert floor. Smaller viaducts would run off from such tunnels and supply individual homes and their gardens with water. The stream of water is often a decorative focus in the garden. This photograph, taken in a lovely hotel in Yazd Iran, depicts many elements of the Persian garden - water, fountains, trees and roses. The english word paradise derives from the Persian word for garden.
"And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good." Genesis 1
