I haven't seen a northern harrier in several days. I wouldn't be too surprised if they've started migrating north early. Our winter has been incredibly warm, so there's a lot of confusion.
Anyway, due to the lack of new shots, I dug into my archive to find this nice shot of a "grey ghost" male harrier mid-turn, with a nice look at his left eye.
I don't get to the north too often, so must snap while I am there. This interesting piece of "artwork" was found on the corner of Smith and Gertrude Streets. Not sure about its origins, I'm not even sure what the original billboard was, but it reminded me of New Orleans' "Gray Ghost" controversy.
BTW: I'm giong with grAy because it has an American origin.
