This shot makes me think it' s a Harrier--the head is grey, and there's that owly-mask thing going on. And the eye looks yellow to me, not orange. And no black shoulder markings. Hmmm.
I'm just a beginner. And I got a Gray Ghost picture. Whoah.
This piece was done by a local artist on his own property in the spirit of NoLA Rising against all of those unsightly grey blobs everywhere. Please note that there are NO TRESPASSING signs on the property should you see this.
Maybe if I sit real pretty for a LONG time and just stare at the nacho bag, I might just get one????
An hour and a half after sunrise and much heavier fog than I had expected. I don't think I've ever seen a male Northern Harrier perched for so long, fluffed up against the cold. Took me a while to wrap my brain around the ID.

My sweet girl is eight years old now and I'm starting to fear her time may be close at hand. Even after all these years I still can't get her to sit still for pictures. She's such a great dog with so much personality, I love you Reag's.

3rd day of camping... for Nate & Lylah's birthdays. Kia & I sneak away for a nap on the beach. Kia is a great pillow!
