An hour and a half after sunrise and much heavier fog than I had expected. I don't think I've ever seen a male Northern Harrier perched for so long, fluffed up against the cold. Took me a while to wrap my brain around the ID.
Here we see the futility of Fred Radtke's life. Compare the Can/Cer/Carl to Radtke's gray blobs. The tag, while clearly the work of a toy, (someone new and still finding their talent in writing,) still blends in and enhances the drain pipe. Radtke's blob, however, sticks out like a cancerous tumour and actually does nothing to deter writers, hence the half dozen who tagged this pipe after Fred left. (More in the next photo.)

12 years 7months His age is catching up with him. He has lived the last 2 1/2 years as a diabetic. An insulin shot in the morning and in the evening. But with help from his great Vet. this is very much under control.
He is just a great dog...

This well-appointed "NO GREY GHOST" stencil was just sent to England for someone who specially requested it. I might add that the No Grey Ghost stencil was not made by yours truly, but clearly carries my stamp of approval.
Mies LOVES his new bed! Picked up free on the street in Seattle. Queen Anne on the corner of 3rd Ave W and Crockett. Under the big round cushion is a mini-trampoline. Imagine that! The Weims don't know it yet, though. I can't have a couple of bouncing Weims all over the place....

No, it's not Fred Radtke. This is in the Bronx. I love the term "gray ghost" for buffed grafitti. Catherine mentioned to me that there is this guy, Fred Radtke, who buffs grafitti with a vengeance in New Orleans, slopping gray paint over any piece he'd see, even if it's on someone's house, fence, even completely covering stop street signs with gray paint! Even people who don't like grafitti in NOLA are supposedly pissed at him. At least the graf writers are trying to make an art form of sorts, adding to a city that has had so much taken away. Radtke is covering the city with grey blobs! But oddly enough, I've been attracted to these grey blobs in NY for years. There's this one underpass I walked through one night that had so many buffs from so many different times that it became this mess of abstraction. Unintentional modernist art! I was floored.
