The Gravity Research Foundation was established in 1948 by financier Roger Babson, to fight gravity-"Our Number One Enemy". The foundation was established on the advice of Thomas Edison, though it has been suggested that Babson developed these ideas after the traumatic childhood drowning of his sister. Clarence Birdseye of frozen-food fame and Igor Sikorsky, inventor of the helicopter were among the members, who held conferences on how to defeat gravity. They also had an annual essay contest. Though the Gravity Research Foundation died with its founder, the essay contest continues in a less crankish manner, with a prize of $5000 and notable winners including Nobel Prize winners Stephen Hawking and George Smoot. This slab was among the dozen or so donated to various schools including Emory University "to remind students of the blessings forthcoming when science determines what gravity is, how it works, and how it may be controlled." These were commonly moved or placed in odd angles as a joke about its anti-gravity objective.

Set me free, leave me be.
I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
Here I am and I stand so tall, just the way I'm supposed to be.
But you're on to me and all over me.
I live here on my knees as I try to make you see that you're everything I think I need here on.
But you're neither friend nor foe though I can't seem to let you go.
The one thing that I still know is that you're keeping me down
Second life Halloween shop & hop 2023. Lots of nice looking decorations placed out this year, so I took some photos. Enjoy :)

Image created using particles obeying certain "gravitational" laws. Mostly variations on "accelerate toward/away from some particle unless some condition is met, in which case move toward/away from some other particle".
Made with processing (processing.org).
To make this Photo i switched gravity off.
This is real.
Photoshop was only used to change the colors a bit. (it was pretty red)
I taped the Shoe to the ceiling and turned the photo around ;)
Paragliding high above the turkish coast. Bit of a cowboy outfit but oh so fun. Amazingly allowed to take camera's up with us. Unbelievable.
Driving up the Icicle,
Our local paradise river,
With magnificent mountains.
There, before the turn,
One meets the Glacial Erratic,
Where some Pine Cone
Dared to start...perhaps some shade, some moisture...
Now they are wed,..
Like leaning parners having to
hold on carefully,
Too much gravity, Crunch.
Not enough photosynthis in the needles, Crunch.
Smile when you go buy,
In case you've forgotten life is a struggle.
