Logan drew this for me a couple of weeks ago and I completely forgot that I promised him I would post it here. He hasn't sketched anything in a long time and I just bought him a new sketch book, hoping to lure him away from "Call of Duty" and "Guitar Hero". I want to enter some more of his sketches in the fair again this year.
Anyway, here ya go. I love the peace sign. He knows me so well :-)
This was my first attempt at a creature without fur or feathers and I just love the way it turned out. We found this little Gray Tree Frog down at our duck pens one day and I couldn't resist taking photos before he went on his way. I decided to draw the front on view because it shows a very happy smiley frog.

Graphite pencil on Canson paper. 8.5" x 9" Copyright Sara Light-Waller, 2012. I blogged about this piece here: flyingponystudios.blogspot.com/2012/04/translation-in-pen...
A sketch of 'Prospero' (Bertram Forsyth as Prospero) by Sir E. Wyly Grier, oil on canvas 1924. Sketch done at Art Gallery of Windsor. A very interesting painting in loose, dramatic handling, and lit from the back.
A few gallery patrons chatted with me about the painting for awhile. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon (although I think I might add a cushion to my sketch kit...).
Looks a bit Jack Sparrow, no?

We got a reprieve from the rain today long enough to draw some rain drops still clinging to leaves of my Surinam cherry plant.
