From a college design project to design an advertising campaign and supporting literature for a joint traveling exhibition based in airports by the Science Museum, Museum of Photogrpahy, Film & Television and The Imperial War Museum entitled 'Perceptions of Beauty'.
My concept revolved around the juxtaposition of different perspectives on iconic subjects, either notoriously beautiful or infamous. The image captured the beauty of a subject coupled with the typographic treatment revealing the darker perspective.

I had the luck to be one of the two graphic designer to manage the art direction of the Galeries Lafayette showcase for Coca Cola & Karl Lagerfeld operation. Unfortunately i was not there the day of installation and operation, but it has been a real pleasure and a great honor to work on such a project. My partner and team leader is Éric Payen.

David Shaw used statistics gleaned from a recent Design Council survey to arrive at the figures shown on this giveaway badge, roundly calculating that 1 in every 400 in the UK population is a communication designer. The badge is set in Graphik, designed by Christian Schwartz and also used for the GraphicDesign& identity. The ampersand was redrawn by Schwartz to foreground the ‘et’ ligature and emphasise the connectivity that underpins the social enterprise.

T-Shirt Design by Thurgood Marshal High School Students
Students were asked to design a t-shirt that was inspired by the word "highway". "Highway" was chosen as the subject of their design since this major cityscape feature is visible from the windows of their classroom. Each student designed their t-shirt using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. When they were finished, the designs were printed directly onto the shirts and heat set. The printing of the shirts was made possible by a generous donation of services by Mr. Willis.
Students at Thurgood Marshal found this project to be rewarding, as they proudly wore their shirts around campus for several days after the completion of the project. This has prompted many of the other students around campus to take an interest in industrial arts, as well as the creative arts.

There is not much room to dance at the Royale, but if you do need to get up and walk to the bar or the restroom, I will be very grateful if you do so in an appreciatively rhythmic manner!
PS--Props to Whiskey Run in Auburn, NE, for their inspirational signage.
