Day 221 - Wine grapes

Today we were invited to dinner with Christian and Maria. Very delicious lasagna! Unfortunately I did not get anything from them. So I grabbed the wine grapes... Yummy... and so many... Yummy!

Heute waren wir bei Christian und Maria zum Essen eingeladen. Sehr leckere Lasagne! Leider habe ich nichts davon ab bekommen. Also schnappte ich mir die Weintrauben... Lecker... und so viele... Lecker!

A grape is a fruiting berry of the deciduous woody vines of the botanical genus Vitis.

Grapes can be eaten raw or they can be used for making wine, jam, juice, jelly, grape seed extract, raisins, vinegar, and grape seed oil. Grapes are a non-climacteric type of fruit, generally occurring in clusters.

...seedless grapes, a little bundle of bite size snacks. I find it that if they were to have seeds I would spend more time picking the seed than eating them, haha. That's why I pick seedless grapes:D I like the green ones over the purple ones too because these aren't bitter.

I stopped drawing long enough to get out of the crib for a bit, with a little encouragement from Flickr friends Chris. Thanks Chris. It was just six days ago that these grapes were just starting to turn purple. I tried one after getting this shot. Very tasty!

I really need some scale in this picture so you can see how tiny these grape clusters are They are starting to ripen though, and looked especially lovely after tonight's rainstorm.
