Various color gradients applied to a Miravi image of Japan and the Sea of Japan region.

The first shot of my second roll, black-and-white C-41 Ilford. Unfortunately the result was a bit brownish, so I had to help it a bit with gradient map...

And yet another one with fabric that has been in my family for way too long. There are so many bedsheets nobody will ever let go of. I keep wanting to make this one into clothing, but my sister had enough trouble lending me the thing for the photoshoot. At least the sheet got its 15 minutes of fashion.

On one of our countless trips--I think this one was in early 2006.

Here is a shot I recently shot of a hip hop artist CJ MACK. We did the shoot on green screen and I added some effects to give it a different style look. Im very pleased with the result!

The campus has a museum honoring General Sam Houston. They've done a marvelous job making the museum grounds a place of beauty and timelessness.

This is the sculpture situated at the entrance of Exchange Quay , Salford Quays in Manchester.....Photographed looking up directly through the centre from beneath it......it has been gradient mapped in CS3 to create this abstract look.

You'll either love it or hate it

This is, perhaps, one of the best works I've done in a very long time. I used a stock from Photoshop Creative magazine and some brushes. I'm actually very impressed by the overall turnout.

Once again, Gradient Map played a big part in the final product.

Oh yea, and I've been looking at a lot of these 'inspiration' articles and such and I'm starting to get that competitive flare that I've lacked for so long. Hopefully I can push out more images soon! In the process, I'm thinking of ditching the whole Forgery, SiB, 255 compilation idea (it's gotten rather difficult to categorize certain images), I'm going on a photography experiment. Gonna see if I can borrow my friend's Canon 450D and start experimenting with lighting and various settings.

Panorama of LRO elevation maps for the mid-latitudes of the Moon's southern hemisphere. (The image has been reduced significantly in size due to not having fast-enough bandwidth for uploading.) I converted the image to color with a lurid gradient map. (No reason other than I wanted to see what it looked like.) The light-red/yellow region near the bottom is the Aitken Basin, which may be a really large impact crater. The Moon's equator is at the top. The bottom of the image is far north of the Moon's south pole.

Playing with the Gradient Map

You can tint a color image and then reveal color selectively in parts that you want to. The tutorial is here : photoshopper27.blogspot.com/2010/12/vintage-effect-and-co...

I believe there is something of the mystery of God in all that exists...We can see it in the sunflower..

I have to work on Actions (and figure out what they are!), so instead I used a Black to White gradient map layer, on soft light. I also practiced making brush stamps! Fun!

Taken for weekly photochallenge... using a gradient map adjustment layer for toning (colour). Some interesting effects; but not wholly convinced I'll be using it a lot. Still, useful tool to have available!

I dunno, but it was pretty spooky doing long exposures during the full moon...

This one, as all scans from first 2 films, doesn't look like 6:7 since I couldn't find a single scanning-mode that offers the exact ratio. Zounds! :(

They can pose so nicely together when they want to :0)

This is probably my favorite shot of the day, at least when it comes to Marie's shoot. I think it turned out better than I had envisioned, considering the improvised wardrobe and lack of controlled lighting.

This is a gradient map of a photo of some strange string-ball cactus I noticed in the garden department at Lowe's. I was occupying myself while my 93-year-old mother was browsing around the garden plants and flowers. I wanted her to have fun... told her to just take her time. I'm not into gardening and my eyes started to glaze. So I went to the car, got my camera, and checked out the possibilities, which kept me somewhat interested. After download of the images, as usual I saw potential in some for playing around with, especially using Photoshop's random gradient map feature.

Re-coloured - Orange, red, blue and gey were re-coloured separetly with mask and grardientmap in PhotoShop.

Little while ago I relaise how I can use PhotoShop's gradientmap to recolouring photos greative way (Photoshop: Image/Adjust/gradient map).
