It's An Addiction

#98 of 100 Possibilities

I've very nearly finished this project too - it's been a long time and has been difficult to get fresh ideas. Definitely my choice of object was rather restrictive.

For this shot I reprocessed one from earlier in the series, adding a gradient map; soft stripes.

From a fictional publication I created in a page layout class.

From an original photo I took of the Key Bank tower in downtown Portland, Or.

Playing around with Photoshop. There's always something new to learn. :)

Now gone, replaced by condos. these are some of my very first scans & could be way better. This palette is the result of fooling around in Photoshop. I forget what I did-probably Gradient Map.

taken at Georges Island, Boston and gradient mapped in Photoshop CS2.

Part of the 365-days project I'm doing

So we were to go for paintball last weekend but apparently you're meant to call in early so we didn't get to play, though they did let us go out into the field and take lots of photos!

There was an old beaten up car that I just had to get a shot of.

Also, got to use the Canon 500D which I hope I can get for Christmas... *hint hint*

This is the new Media City footbridge at Salford Quays in Manchester. The building on the right hand side of the shot is the BBC, with the tall buildings behind being new luxury apartment towers.

A really aestheically pleasing mix of architectural design technology for different uses all sitting together in harmony.

I have gradient mapped this image and reversed it to create this look.

Spent a day helping out some friends of mine on their short film.

I had a hard time figuring out what to do with this photo. In the end, I decided to try giving it a gradient map (after applying a bleach bypass effect).

Indoor amaryllis opening photo with a gradient map effect

This is a picture of my friend Megan. It was shot with a film camera. I then scanned the negatives onto my computer and digitally hand coloured the entire picture.

Self-portrait. Wanted to see what I could do with a tripod, gradient-mapping and a "moment". I got pretty dizzy after this. ;)

high-contrast curve and a gradient map.

This is what happens when you push gradient maps to far - you either love it or hate it...!?

I just loved all the different lines and angles here.

Photoshop filters and gradient map experiment.

A chain given to me by H.O.N author P.C Cast at her book signing in Waterstones Sauchiehall street Glasgow. This image shows the front and back of the chain. Good times :)

Horrible weather, so playing around in photoshop. This was a very over exposed shot but quite like this effect using the gradient map.

Moody or just kind of silly? One of the odder gradient maps lurking about on photoshop

Manipulated: recolored with gradientmap

I just love how the coloured added a whole different vibe to the picture.

Actually, they're long-leafed plant shadows on the concrete to which I applied Photoshop's gradient map filter.
